I aM torn. We have a caretaker coming in at 8AM for mom and she should be OK, I haven’t slept in my own bed for 2 weeks and I really want to wake up next to the one I love on the first day of the New Year.
 
Slept strangely last night and I guess I should have set an alarm because I didn't wake up until 10am. As such, I'm just wrapping up coffee and I guess my ride today will be a lunch ride of sorts.
 
You're gonna have to drink yourself into oblivion tonight if you wanna fall asleep before midnight!
 
Speaking of slept badly I really should turn off my work day/school day alarm this week 😂 🙀

Second day kinda messed up already
 
Just dropped my car off at the dealer for an oil change. Told the service advisor, if that’s what they’re called, that my brakes are squeaking and may need replacing. Was shocked at his response. Dude said they may just need cleaning and not replacing.
I figured he’d try to push for new rotors and pads all around. How you gonna make money for the dealership if you don’t ripoff the customer.

Isn't that kinda the goal of most people tonight? :laughing Funny enough, I can wake up late like this and still get bored and be in bed by 10, I just wake up around 3 or so and can't doze back off. If I ever get employed again I'll have to use that 4am wake up to my advantage by striking fear in the hearts of everyone with a barrage of early morning email replies, people love that.
 
work done for the day and boom, I am on vacation until Thursday. Then it's back to it in 2025.

Kind of glad my SIL is sick tonight so we can skip going out.

We watch the NYC ball drop and call it a night at 9pm but still nice not to have to bother going out.

Going out to lunch with my "niece" and her nephew from New Orleans soon so that will be fine.
 
Went on the freeway, saw a young Unkle Dorkistan stopped dead stop in lane 3 of a four lane freeway AFTER an exit. Because he missed it apparently. Blinker On and everything.

The exit has a habit burger, or, Maps says you can access Costco…but you can also get to Costco via the next exit, too..(and it will not be backtracking)

I went ahead to Costco…in ten minutes I saw him enter the parking lot :rofl same dorkman
