One of my goals this year is getting Mrs Abacinator to finish going through the rest of her mom's stuff so we can get rid of it (mostly documents). I did manage to consolidate some of my stuff and I've got a few things that'll end up for free in the classifieds here pretty soon.

My mission today was to make commonly used stuff more accessable. I think I pulled it off, but it looks like I did nothing :rofl
 
Woof. Big quake up here just a few minutes ago. 4.7 or so. Epicenter less than 2 miles from us. What a way to start the new year.
 
My family is together and we’re sipping wines the we brought back from Germany. I don’t think you can get anything like this here, so we’re savoring the moment.

I'm at a hotel and it's apparently the busiest time of the year. Holy wow The Tahoe full of people.

Some stan dudes unloaded the car with a full crockpot (not electric) with gilded handles and such. I suppose it contained the stew for dinner...

A Gewürztraminer, a Riesling and a peach liqueur. The wines were purchased from the wineries and they don’t export, unfortunately.

Apart from being delicious, they don’t give me a headache. Any wine I’ve been able to get here does, though reds less than whites.
 
I'm not really one for New Year's resolutions. The things I've been working on are the same not because the time changed from 11:59 to 12:00.

If I had to make one, I want my fucking best friend back. It hurts that all it took was falling in "love" with a piece of shit guy made her abandon anyone else that didn't support this dumpster fire.

I get prioritizing romance and your relationship over your friends, and that was all cool. I've done it, most of you probably have too at some point. But that doesn't mean turning your back on everyone that has the opinion this is a really stupid decision.

It's a good thing one of the quotes I remember from Kaldur'Ahm, "For we value our true friends and unlike you, we are not short on them."

Kinda hard to forgive when this douchebag sucker punched me out of nowhere, then I defended myself so he could not do that again, it was broken up and I packed my bag and started walking in the snow, not sure where I was going, just anywhere but here because there was no love in this home, not for me.

Sorry for the rant...

Normally, a resolution is something you intend to do. Is there an action implicit in the above?
 
What bothers me most is, I never asked for an apology because I don't want one or need it.

Her reasoning is he never apologized because I said I didn't want an apology. So, my superintelligent best friend dumbed it down to a douchebag mentally little man that can't say he's sorry? ugh

Correct me if I'm wrong, if you've wronged someone in anyway, you apologize for it. It doesn't matter who started it or did what. Apologies are for you recognizing you did wrong. Forgiveness, that is for you, whether the person accepts it or not.

Andy, I'm not intending to do anything. It just sparked a strong feeling and memory given the new year. You are no stranger to martial arts. Living with a swollen eye for a few days when I could have done more, hurt much less than the reasons why it happened.

I'm only human and I've only said what I said because I have trust in y'all.
 
Proud to report that today, January 2nd, all my newly minted resolutions are still intact.

Both of them. And if the emotional wounds take time to heal, so-be-it. No more taking prisoners in 2025. (They should have learned the game of Chess as children.)
 
Good morning.
One of my behavioral changes is to get back to the gym on a regular basis and watch what I consume.
It is a regular goal from week to week.
