I am against the death penalty because what if we get it wrong but it's also really damned expensive to impose.

In other news, our local Amazon truck driver is SUPER polite to me as a cyclist. He ended up delivering something to me after I got home from my wee ride. I caught him and thanked him for how polite and observant he was and we chatted for a few.

If I change who I am because I don't like myself, what does that mean for the little in my life that likes me for who I am currently? I've seen marriages end because of self realization and change. I can't jeopardize my family because I wish I was a more liked person.

Consider the possibility that it isn’t the qualities you dislike about yourself that holds your family together. If you make a good faith change, chances are they would be supportive.
