Post your best pussycat photos here! (FELINES ONLY!)

We got a tabby Cosmo with a broken leg as he'd been used as bait to train fighting dogs.

It healed up fine though ended up a bit shorter than the other front leg.

He lived a long and happy life and was an angel adored by all the other cats.

Best wishes for that sort of outcome for your son.

Here he is snuggling baby Koko.

RIP Cosmo and Koko.

i really hope that kitty has a long and healthy life with Sal.

You guys!! I did it! I got the little kitty from Pottery and Beyond in Emeryville today!! 🧡 When I saw the door was closed, and lifted up the towel and saw him, I cried like a little baby :laughing He has eaten a few dinners, and he's sleeping peacefully right now. I'm so relieved this little guy is no longer on his own. I'd still like to find a good solid home for him if anyone here has room in their home and heart for him. We have our hands full with our new boy Mercer and our 2 other cats, but I am prepared to keep him if need be.

well done @WoodsChick

he’s such a cute little fluff. i just can’t even with how cute he is. 🥹🥹🥹

Thank you! He is incredibly cute, isn't he? I love his little vanilla paws, and his not-quite-fully-orange fur. He looks like a butterscotch sundae, and since he came to me on a Sunday I think he shall be known as Sundae from now on! Potter wouldn't be bad, since he was found at the pottery place, and he has been sleeping in that giant grotesque ceramic pumpkin in the top photo! Carlos at the pottery place put the plastic wrap on top so the rain wouldn't get him, and a little rug inside of it for him. I cannot name him Punkin, although Jack wouldn't be bad, since it is a Jack-o-lantern. By the way, I have no idea if he's a he or a she. Most orange kitties are boys, but I haven't been able to tell with this one.

Carlos is a god among men for this act of kitten kindness. 🥹

Absolutely! He went above and beyond for this little guy, and he was as happy as I was today! His VM to me said "Try Try again to catch him please!"
That Jack-o-lantern was on the other side of the yard. Carlos picked it up one morning to move it to a different display and the kitty jumped out, so at the end of the day he took it from the display and put it back where it was, along with the tiny rug inside and a dish of water. When he saw him this morning on the other side of the yard the first thing he did was move the jack-o-lantern and then he called me :love

My cat didn’t respond well to the feline leukemia vaccine she got on Sunday.
The next morning, yesterday, was the first time she ever made any sign of being irritated with me. She wanted to be petted but made a lowkey growl when I held her tail and spent most of the day sleeping and not eating.
The whole thing was probably unnecessary since she’s an indoor cat only with short guarded trips to the patio. However was concerned that she could contact bird poop or the poop of who knows whatever might be climbing around out there at night.

You did right thing.

We had an indoor/outdoor cat die of it.

RIP Oz, (aka Ozzer Bozzer).

I agree with the others. A bit of discomfort is worth it just to be sure. Was she feeling better today?

On that note, I took my little foundling to the vet today. Turns out my little butterscotch Sundae is a girl, which I'm thrilled about! She was none too happy about her FVRCP vaccine, nor the blood draw for FeLV/FIV test. She was covered in fleas and had worms, which is why they were able to get me a same-day appointment, but they got that taken care of, and cleaned out her mite-free ears, too. She didn't growl or hiss at me, but she was not happy, and has been hiding in her little hidey-box I made for her. I'm sure she's not feeling great tonight.

Yesterday was a huge day of progress. Within 24 hours of me trapping her we went from her not eating when I was in the room, to her eating out of a spoon I was holding, and eating kitten kibble out of my hand! She also quit hissing, and running and hiding when I walk into the room. I was even able to pet her last night! Turns out she's quite the snuggle bug, and a first class purrer! :love

She’s still short of 100% but is a lot better than yesterday.
She seemed so disappointed with me yesterday morning when I didn’t pick up on the clues that she was looking for comfort and I instead I tried playing with her tail as I sometimes do in the morning. They’re quite sensitive & expressive creatures.

Good to hear Sundae’s is on path to a more comfortable life. I read that kittens may have a harder time recovering from the vaccine so yeah it could be rough tonight and tomorrow. Fortunately she’s in good hands.

Kittens you say?

Well, this was expensive 🤦‍♂️ Something attacked Aiden while he was outside yesterday afternoon. He came in late for dinner ahell shocked, limping, and tail puffed out. When he got inside, he left traces of blood everywhere he sat. So off to the Vet ER. They found a dime-sized open wound in one leg, a deep puncture wound in the other--both of which needed sutures and a third puncture wound on his butt.
