I'm sure he'll be upset with you keeping him inside while he heals up.

Or maybe letting him out may not be in the future cards.

Yeah, he's a bit of a chonk. He's so sweet and mellow (and kinda clumsy for a cat). Our other cat went to the ER for something similar, albeit less severe, a few months ago. I'm thinking they're both grounded for the time being.

I’ll guessing it was raccoon bites. Raccoon thinking there’s not enough food for everyone, /thinning the competition.
…Could’ve been a possum.
I’ve seen a possum bite a kitten and then runoff with it in his mouth. I didn’t think possums could run, but after seeing that they’re can run fast.

I haven't seen any raccoons around...and nothing on our Ring camera either. I have seen a possum, though.
 
Oh no! I hope Aiden heals up quickly and completely. Puncture wounds are no joke. I’m glad he got good care right away. Give him a little head scritch from me, and I will be mustering all superpowers and sending healing vibes his way 🖤🤍

That is one majorly serious looking animal!
 
Miss Logan managed to get an E Coli infection in her ears, the right much worse than the left. Her constant head flicking because of the irritation caused an Aural Hematoma, ie, she got a big bleed under the skin of her ear flap. Being heavy with blood caused her ear to flop down and made her flick her head even more, compounding the situation. Only option was surgery. Expensive! Being a red head - she's very feisty so giving her post op medication is a two person struggle.Miss Logan Posy surgery 2.jpg

Ooof...I do not envy you. At all. How does a cat get E. Coli in an ear?? That sounds pretty awful 🙁 I had a cat who got salmonella once. That was bad enough, and there wasn't even any surgery involved. Miss Logan looks rather pissed off at the situation, and I don't blame her a bit! Best of luck to Miss Logan and everyone in your household!
 
She’s a really well behaved cat. I was surprised when they told me she had already been at the pound for two weeks without anyone being interested in taking her home.
I picked her soon as I saw her. The pound worker asked if I wanted to see the other cats also, “Nope I’ll take this one”.
 
One of my cats freaked out on one of our other cats. She totally lost it when I scruffed her :facepalm Not doing that again

Is that a bite? If so you might want to get that looked at. I ended up having to do 2 rounds of heavy antibiotics when Apollo tore me up a year or so ago. It was pretty ugly. My doctor told me to just come see her right away if I ever get bit again.

Years ago, one of ours who used to ride on my shoulder, inexplicably latched onto the flappy web bit between the thumb and pointing finger. It was so painful I punched at her head with my other hand; luckily I missed. I was at the doctor the next day with a huge hand and bad infection. Their mouths are extremely F I L T H Y.

One of the local strays that I have tamed / befriended has a habit of lashing out if he feels he hasn't received enough attention, which is pretty much always. He frequently punctures my leg with his claws. By the way, he is a beautiful cat - I have posted pictures, he is "SadSack", needs to have his balls removed, and would be an absolutely beautiful companion for anyone. He is such a lover, appreciative of a deep shoulder rub and cheek scratch. I plan to take him to the vet for the foul deed to be done, so that won't be imprinted on any future owner!! Seriously, if anybody wants a lap cat extraordinaire, he would be an awesome candidate. We already have two indoor cats.
