Post your best pussycat photos here! (FELINES ONLY!)

Bolt reminds me of my cousin’s cat. Her husband made the video.

Jenko is starting to go down that route. He stole a chicken strip off a hot cookie sheet the other night, one brain cell away from figuring out the cabinet doors, and has an obsession with food residue on anything. They get wet twice a day, have dry always available, and his weight is nicely managed at 12.5 lbs but he will sit by his wet bowl and meow like he's starving to anyone who looks sideways at him :laughing
I’ve left food unattended for a few minutes at a time and my cat barely glances at it. We leave door food out for her most of the time and she doesn’t overeat.

Edit: fkn iPhone crap text suggestion

Tuxedo cats are rad. I'd do it but we already have 3 cats that hate each other 😅

My cat is sometimes left alone for hours. When we get back she can be pissed so will run out to greet us but then crawl under the couch for an hour or so. Im thinking she might need a partner. Won’t pull the trigger on that until late summer though if it’s gonna happen.

If we can offer an injured cat a safe haven for the night, it has been a good day. It has been a good day, Sad Sack has been in a scrap or two and is suffering. Pics tomorrow of the poor lad. His balls need to be snipped.
How is Sad Sack doing today? I’ve been thinking about him, and I hope he’s doing better. Getting him fixed is definitely a good idea.

Thank you for thinking of him. 🩷 I don't know if I posted that he has an open wound on his right cheek, which was preceded by being very swollen for a few days. He sat on the fence a few days ago mewing (not meowing), and wasn't interested in me interacting with him, other than to hear him mope.

Thursday last week he was in his box outside the door (we live in an upstairs condominium with a landing shared with one neighbour), and when I opened the screen he came in. Made a beeline for my wife's lap, and she went all-out mom with him, as you awesome moms are wont to do! He was there for a few hours and was not interested in heading outside. He spent most of the next day and all night again with us. Today? Nowhere to be found. It's sprinkling here; the weather is supposed to get really fun the next few days, I hope he deposits himself in his box. He is such a lover, and would make a fantastic first cat for someone who has never had the pleasure of the company of a cat.

Poor guy. I’m really glad you were able to give him some comfort and some safe downtime. Was his wound getting better? Cat fight wounds are pretty awful. Sounds like maybe an abscess. Hopefully he comes back soon. Perhaps a visit to your local SPCA vet can happen if he comes back? If they know he’s a “community cat” that you’re just helping out they will sometimes give a discount, and they will also probably give him an antibiotic injection instead of sending you home with meds. If he comes back, I’m willing to donate some $ towards a vet visit. Keep us in the loop, and good luck!

Edit: I just saw your photos. He’s a very handsome fella! Is he getting along with the gray cat ok? I can’t see his cheek very well but he’s missing a good chunk of hair there, poor guy 🙁

He and Greyboy are best buds. I went walkabout this evening in the rain - it was lovely, I love the rain - but didn't see him. He is of course a cat's cat, and will show up when he wants to. Once he has hung out with us for a few days I will try to get him an appointment for his ball whacking. Poor fellah, I would never want mine whacked, but then again I am not running about in rut. Wait, what was that like anyway?

I like the rain, too! I’m glad to hear he gets along with Greyboy. That’s a huge hurdle. Just an FYI, SPCA will require that he be in good health before having him undergo any anesthesia for getting neutered. They’ll require a rabies vax, too, but they can do that at time of neutering. If he’s got an infected wound on his face they probably won’t do it. Anyway, I hope it all works out for the best for Sad Sack. If you take him in you’ll have to rename him Lucky Lou!

Benny The Bengal has already been bestowed on him by another neighbor.
