Post your dog pics!

The Thanksgiving invasion has started.

Daughter brought over her new rescue Charlie. He does not like me a lot but we are working on it and have a week to get it together. Our theory is some old white guy was the bain of his life and I look like him. Some treats and hanging on the couch last night went well.

Because she is sitting in Louie's spot Louie decided to kick it in Cooper's crate and soon was snoozing.

Cooper had her spot on the other end of the couch and chilled while MNF was entertaing the rest of us.

We have one more daughter / SIL coming to TDay whom will be staying the night and that means two more dogs. Olive the energy bomb 14mo old Bulldog / Lab / super mut mix and their Big Boy 2yo Lab - Luke.

Both Luke and Olive respect my Klingon commands amazingly well so keeping control should be fine, except.... that Charlie is scared of them so I am not sure how that will go. Tried a light version last night on Cooper and Charlie immediately got nervous.

I told the daughter we will do a training session tonight similar to what I did with my hunting dogs to get them to not be scared at the sound of a gun. Bust caps while feeding them basically. So I will go across the yard and issue Klingon commands from a distance while the kiddo feeds him treats and see if I can get closer over time and see if he can not be nervous. Hoping that works because with 5 dogs I know Commander Warf is going to be needed. :p

I found that the Klingon Language is gutteral and hard like German can be and more fun to use because people go WTF.

IRRRICCCHH JOK JOSH!! with the right inflection has them all coming over and sitting except Louie if he is snoozing in his spot. He knows I am not talking to him I guess. :laughing

A random Trekkie taught it to me and I happened to use it in the house and both dogs immediately paid full attention. Then started to apply it with a couple other similar commands. Pretty fun.

Annoys the wife because the dogs ignore her female take. She has always been to nice so why should they listen. I tried to get her to use proper commands early in training and she is just a softy.
