Post your dog pics!

i just saw the last walk pics. you gave Max the best last day possible. thank you for letting him go easy and not keeping him around to suffer.

i’ll forgive you for making me cry twice in one day. :x

Well damn... I am sorry for your loss and my heart has cracked a bit and someone started cutting the onions
He was a most handsome boy - RIP Max and say hello to our beautiful Yellow girl who passed away on Easter Sunday you can't miss her...

🐕‍🌈

it’s possible something like this could be added!

i downloaded some of Max’s pics to my phone. i really am gonna miss seeing that face.

Your loss reminds me of saying good bye to my two beagles who lived to be 13.5 and 15. My eyes are now leaking. And I hope Max says hello to Sophie and Gracie. They were really good dogs.

Rtmac, I forced a puppy on my SO before he was ready but it allowed us to regain some joy back in our lives. Our 2 big black shepherds will never replace the dog that brought him back after his accident but they do force engagement.
You will never be ready to “replace” Max just as having another baby doesn’t soothe the loss of a child. That said, if you find yourself withdrawing from life you may need to bring a dog back into your home.

I found Max the day after i had my previous black lab (Brutus) put down. Max was the best dog i've ever known... i know we won't get that lucky again.
I will definitely need to have another dog soon... but i don't put up with dumb-fuck dogs well.
Besides my current emotional breakdown (it hasn't even been 48 hours yet), i'm nursing a pulled muscle in my arm and a back strain from lifting that big lug of a dog around (i'd do it 100 more times if i could!)... but it leads me to consider i will be in my 70's when my next dog is 10. Another big ol lab is probably not a wise choice for us... and besides, we've already had the best lab!
I'm thinking a smart, medium size, low maintenance dog. But the wife says no way, she wants another big square-head english lab (she's under the delusion that we will get another Max.)
I'm not going to rush it... but damn, i'm gonna be lonely all day without Max at my feet. :nchantr

Today Joy injured herself. Poor baby is really in pain . Fracture and tear on her dew claw. Her vet is a gentle kind man and he fixed her up for the weekend but she goes back on Wednesday for possible surgery.
