Response from Woody at Live 105 regarding his statements on the air.

i still think it's a ploy to gain listeners, now we have to tune in to make sure the PSAs are actually broadcast. weaksauce

kidding of course. :laughing

unlike the form letter just about everyone got, this message sounds sincere. i'm happy.

should woody peruse this thread: if you find the MSF class to your liking come out to a few socials. make a few friends even if you never go on a group ride. shit, come out if you decide motorcycles aren't for you there are quite a few BARFers that don't actually ride

Maybe someone could help him to write the copy for the lane sharing PSA's?

That's good he finally stepped up and is offering to make ammends.

I did respond to Woody with a link to the thread.

I too found the apology sincere :thumbup

:smoking

Talk is cheap. I'll believe it when I see it. Since I won't be listening to Live 105 for the foreseeable future, please keep us posted on how things are progressing. I could imagine him doing the basic MSF and running a few PSA’s this spring, but once this blows over, I suspect things will go back to BAU (business as usual). If I turn on 105.3 FM in a year and they are doing PSA's for motorcycle safety, I'd be totally shocked.

I like what I'm hearing, I just hope he gets active on the board and reads his PM's

It's all good:teeth

The Mountain View Motorcycle Training Facility would be more than welcome to host your safety class.

PM me, and we can discuss it.

Besides taking the safety class (which I'll do, I'm actually really looking forward to it. I've always wanted to learn how to ride) I've got some other things cookin' in an attempt to "make good" with you guys and biker broads. . .

What I want to know is, is it really nice to call them "broads"? :laughing

I will now hope that he follows through on his words.

Hey Woody, re: Biker Broads

The proper term you should use is "back marker".

disclaimer: I take no responsibility for any consequences in use of said term within earshot of any females.

I'll bet the back of your helmet is on DH's targeted list, though.

Woody, sounds good. Looking forward to the follow-through.

I'm glad he finally appologized. I don't see myself listening to the station in the near future, either. I didn't really like the show at first and this whole situation sealed the deal. I am, however, very happy that the station is going to run some PSA's.

Thank you Dennis and all the other cooler heads for polishing a turd into a diamond.
