And your point is..? What if I just don't like the smell of marijuana or indulge in that life style. Or maybe because I like my life and my career (which has zero tolerance for substance abuse)... Can you respect that..?

I can respect that...but I find that there are a lot of people who don't indulge that don't return that respect...to the degree that I have to hide it, and have tense situations with police sometimes, when we interact.

It bothers me, and unless the cop is a crusader, it's just a pain in his ass too.

Now driving impaired is a bad thing...but some studies have shown that moderate amounts of weed, by regular users, seems to be safe. Not at all the same as drinking and driving.

Now LSD...that's weird to drive on...is that really the road? What do those colored lines mean? Why is the bass player putting so much inflection on the second note in the riff? Did we just start, or are we almost there? :laughing

I see what you mean my friend. People make their own choices. It's just not for me, for the reasons I mentioned above. But I agree. Anything in excess is bad. Like too much tv or too much junk food or too much alcohol... :)

.... then fill out the poll and get out of this thread. If all you have to offer is some one sided generic opinion about why marijuana is bad then please refrain. You have nothing to offer in regards to this conversation.

Bite me..! :twofinger

Can you respect that..? Or maybe I just don't like that stuff because it ruins the lives of young people, it promotes criminal activity, it helps fund drug cartels, illegal arms sales, prostitution and terrorism. Or maybe because I've seen it ruin a family members life. Or maybe because it causes birth defects. How bout loosing your job for testing positive. Or maybe you just ruin somebody else's life because you had an accident while you were driving/riding or operating machinery while impaired and under the influence... I'd rather eat junk food than go through all that. So yeah. Thanks but-no thanks... :hand

I guess I'm just not cool. And that's fine with me... :ride

There are a lot of "if's" in that. :p I think I respect you, but it got a little crazy at points. :toothless

I drive just fine on acid thank you very much! :x

Okay, not really. Don't do drugs and operate vehicles kids. It's bad mmmkay. Even if you think you're good at it sooner or later you'll meet some asshole that did something incredibly bad and blames it on that. For all you know it is true. I scared myself out of dui with some of this logic. You can too!

Thank you. But that's my point. What if..? We all make choices in life. We just have to be aware of the legal and moral consequences at the end of the day... :2cents

Oooooooo..! Excuse my ignorance about marijuana and narcotics. I feel sooo bad now... :(

You said they were a narcotic. I then asked the question:

"pot is a narcotic now?"

Thinking that some dumbass re-classified it as such. Come to find out, it was just you not knowing what you were taking about.

Not sure why you'd get angry at me? You mentioned going to the gym........roid rage maybe?

I agree. Marijuana and narcotics is something I honestly don't know much about. And I like it that way... :thumbup

And I'm not angry. Who said I was angry? I did go to the gym though and then I went for a swim. It was such a nice day outside... :cool

I hear that. But for me dawg, the what if's aren't worthy of lawmaking. The consequences definitely are. :twofinger better than :2cents ? j/k some barf love for ya.

You mean its not about cocaine, heroin and TV commercials?!
...misleading...

Back in the 70s I raced MX stoned... I thought I was really going
quick until I was passed by a bunch of slow ass riders... that was
it... no more time altering smoke... I haven't touched it since...
Just riding gets me high enough...

Sorry, but I think it is rather contradictive to ask someone to respect your opinion while speaking agressively from your "high" horse :)laughing sorry again) and regurgitating info from commercials aired in the '80's (Just Say No).

I know quite a few people that smoke everyday and are more productive members of society than most I've seen.

And they have less anger than most as well.:teeth

I think it's adorable that you really believe you still have "all your brain cells". :kiss :wave

Go rub "all your brain cells" together, and read this article on a *short* list of things that can kill brain cells. If you still think you've never killed a brain cell, well then you're just special, aren't cha? :thumbup

I think the guy who wrote that is lacking brain cells.. :rofl

Drove once in college while stoned...depth perception was so off that I would slow to a stop 15 feet from the stoplight. Wouldn't dream of doing that again...much less ride or ski.

I saw someone I kind of knew ride off to a fork in the road, signaled the blinker to turn left and then proceeded to turn right. I looked at my friend who was standing there watching with me and I was like :wtf and he was like "he's high :nerd" and then I go on to realize they just smoked a blunt together :x
