Road Rage ,,what to do?

im pretty sure our resident LEOs wont like the tone of this thread... :D

Wait three months. Then break his truck window. The next night, break another window. Then you're finished.

Let it go, people!
There are better things in life to occupy your time with.

If you want to do anything, call the police.
Don't go anywhere near his house, or mess with his truck...
Or you might just end up looking at the wrong end of a Mossberg...

Let it go, people!

I don't know about you guys, but if somebody threatened my life, I don't care how long ago, and I just happened to know where he lives I would do something about it.

But I wouldn't be stupid enough to post about it on BARF first.

Also remember that this is a PUBLIC forum. So, if anything happens to this guy or his truck you will probably be the first person to be contacted by the cops. Since there are a couple of LEOs on this forum.

Maybe it's better to let it go and allow the universe to balance this one out for you. Like when the guy cuts off a semi that can't stop, and he becomes one dead sardine.

For my part, after TWO DECADES of being cut off by jerkoffs and nearly killed by airbrained losers, I don't even get mad when this kind of stuff happens. I just get the hell out of their way and get my intact ass home safe.

Yeah... turn the other cheek. :D

Did it ever occur that if you know where HE lives, he just might know where YOU live? :rolleyes

Things can escalate to an ugly level quite quickly.

repeat the words "serenity now" or "gooze-frah-bah".

IT would suck is if you beat down this guy or mess up his property and FIND out it wasn't even him.

OH yeah thought of something else....

Treat him like a dog.. you know -- discipline them when they are committing the act… not after the fact. If he has the same IQ as an animal, you may be beating up on him and he won’t know why…. LOL (edit. I think Dogs are way smarter then these asshats and I don't beat up on my dogs. From the tone of my voice they know I am pissed off they made a mess in the house) :teeth

Walk away

You're ok, be greatful, I know it is not easy, but do yourself a favor and let it go. If you go down to his level he might disrespect a fellow biker, maybe you or someone else, that wouldn't be cool, also, are you sure this is the jerk's house? be honest here, any sense of doubt could lead you to making a bad choice, human memory is known to be really bad under stressfull situations. Even if you're correct, how do you know he wasn't borrowing the truck? Any way, my point is this, just let it go, don't let your anger get the best of you. If you get caught, then you look like an a-hole. Some things in life desearve to be left in the past.

Thanks all for the reply,

I think at this point I will just drop him a friendly note;)
Letting him know that people like him are not hard to find and how lucky he is I am not A violent person by nature. or something along those lines.

Thanks for all the advise a opinions,, That is why I asked before taking any actions.

And I am 100% it is the same guy, as I looked him in the face and also remeber his license plate as it was a personal plate.

I would agree with the 'turn the other cheek' folks if it was something that you could chalk up to accidental or clueless, but this guy seems like he is doing it deliberately and even maliciously.

If you don't at least call the cops, and he misjudges the distance he can swerve at the next bike and takes a rider out it might just be because you let him slide on it this time. How much would it suck if you saw the same truck on the news because it was at a fatal accident scene?

I wouldn't say I'm an really hard line kind of guy, but I'm sick of the , let it go, it's not my fault, why can't everyone just get along' attitude. I think one of the reasons people are as crappy to eachother as they can be is because we have fewer and fewer consequences. Sure, I'd like to think that everyone has a bit of niceness in them somewhere, and I give people the benefit of the doubt when I can. But once they prove me wrong, and show themselves to be jerks I don't try to explain it away by looking at how they were raised, if they had a bad day...

So this is a case where a guy apparently intentionally swerved to scare or hit a fellow rider... not accidentally... and the people here want to let him slide?

I'm not recommending the beat down strategy, and I don't really believe in the self motivation of the police. However I do think if you give them enough grief, keep following up, and doing some footwork to get things moving that eventually they will get the message and maybe get the job done. But let this guy do it to another rider? Come on!!!

I agree partially with one of the last post

contact the police, but I'm doubtfull anything will be done (I hope I'm wrong).

If the police don't do anything, I would at least write him a letter and cc: the high way patrol office in your county and local police dept.

Don't expect any miracles when reporting it to the cops is fine if that's what you want to do. The cops tend to say "It's your word against theirs" and/or "We didn't see it, so there isn't much we can do about it."

I've heard that line when a dog bit me, when some jerk threw food at me on the freeway and when some agro turd drove me off the road.

I'm not suggesting you do this...a few years back, a mechanic told me how he used to call 1-800-EXHAUST when someone was being a real piece of work and punch in their license plate number. The registered owner gets a written warning in the mail. If it happens a lot, the person gets a mandatory smog check.

Go figure.

Don't call the cops and don't talk about you are going to do here. Then kill him, or mess up his truck. I'm sure he's pissed off more people than he can count up to. Talking to the cops will just make you an easy suspect if something goes wrong.

OK, bro, here's a question - you got a squid plate? Or an airbrushed tank/helmet or anything?

I know I do. This makes me an EASY f!@#ing target. The next time that guy (like the one I flipped off the other day) sees a chick on a bike in pigtails (easy enough already) and then sees my license plate (very squidly and personalized, TYVM), he'll remember me as the bitch that flipped him off. Then what? I have to remember that more in the heat of the moment, because it's possible that I'm going to get rear-ended one of these days from some dickhead I got mad at weeks ago when he happens to recognize me later.

We are more recognizable than cagers are, and we are much easier to fuck with and then cry "accident". I don't want to read on this forum in two weeks that you were hit by an assh*le in a truck. Because he'll probably get away with it.

In MA, they have a number to call when someone looks like they're "driving under the influence". Do we have that here in CA? If so, we should post that number here on BARF and then we can call in everytime someone does something like that. They're driving erratically, yes? Maybe they're drunk, so we should notify the cops (or at least it's likely enough that they won't yell at us for crying wolf). If we do that, the cops then have to come and pull him over and put him through the DUI process. That would annoy the piss out of him.

And that's my 2cents.

remembet the asshole who rammed a harley guy in a parking lot about a year ago? and harleyboy way paralyzed? this guy is probaly capable of that.

cops should take this stuff seriously.

So how long do you people plan on living anyways? Do you have any idea how many people carry handguns with them even it's illegal? Kick the shit outta someone for cutting you off? Kill him? Ruin his property? You people are complaining about the lousy state of the general public and then lining up to join them? WTF?

Learn to ride more defensivly and avoid these situations. You are quicker, more nimble and fit in smaller places than cars. Try treating them as obstacles and just get around them and to your destination as fast and safely as you can.
