SCUBA / Diving / Diving license

I just got certified this weekend, last dive was yesterday.. I was the only student in the class this weekend and just two of us in the pool. But there were a lot of people out on the lawn at San Carlos Beach suiting up in classes elsewhere.

Lemmie know if you're up to dive. I'm gonna be back on the 25th of June.

I go almost every chances weather permitted. Just dove monterey spearfishing this Sat.
Give me a holla when you are back.

Are you willing to dive anywhere? I have a 12.5ft flat bottom we skiff we could go out on. The possibilities open up when you have a boat. Lakes and rivers......

I am not sure if you have tried freshwater. I did once in american river, meh :rolleyes.
I want to dive Lake Tahoe at least once whenever I go up there.
Ocean still kicks ass, alot to see.
I dive monterey, sonoma, and mendo county. That probably cover alot of ground. I could help you with ocean reg if you want to get something for dinner from there.

Freshwater is fun if you can actually get some decent water flow and more than 2m viz. Lakes around here are just too cold for me to make the trek for. I'll stick to the Mediterranean.

Well we can hit the north coast or Monterey. I don't care either way as long as we are in the water. If we hit Monterey Breakwater is a cool spot. Easy parking and lots of space to set up. If we go north coast Ft. Ross is fun. I would rather Breakwater so we can get in the water at about 10am. Its a 2 hour drive for me to get there.

Hmm Ben and I havent been diving in far too long. We could be talked into doing some, and Monterey isnt too far from us. Ill keep an eye on the thread for potential dates. :)

I miss Hawaii

What about a boat dive? You guys want to go in on a 2 tank charter or something?

Im cool with breakwater, I've been going there all summer and keep seeing different stuff every time I go. I'd like to go out to the right past the rocks this time.

Isn't the water supposed to be warm right now? This weekend would be perfect.

Boat charter would be cool. I am doing a spear fishing trip on the 14th down in Monterey. I will get the name of the boat and see what we can put together.

Also as far as warm water it's not. It never is.

Im good with whatever you guys want to do. Who is going to take charge of this? I have never booked a dive I just go with groups so I would rather someone else do it. Shore dive is also fine with me. I have never been to otter cove but it looks fine to me.

Best dive charter in Monterey (IMHO). Capt. Capwell is a champ.

Boat dives are fun because you run a route and we can all get to know each other.

I see that some dive boats anchor where I descend. I swim out about 15 mins from shore.
Probably save some money and do shore dive, unless the boat goes out to hard-to-reach-place.
Otter Cove is where I think is good.It is calm most of the time, and not as pack as breakwater.
It's free for parking too.

I can take charge and book a boat. Give me a time frame. I'm not sure where Otter cove is tho; if that's the place we go then Chet's in charge.

I vote charter & mostly because I'm not familiar enough with the dive sites here to know what is what.

Lets just book a trip to the Big Island! It's warmer. :laughing

Let me run it by the other half.

Never been there, is there a place to rent every or do I just into town and get what i need? I need a wet suit and diving gear. Actually thinking about just buying a wetsuit to have it. So I'd need the gear.

Also not sure this makes a difference but I also vote charter too :p I did the walk in and seriously its not fun haha. I prefer having an anchor line to use. But if we all decide to walk then we can suck it up.
