How much you want for that rifle, bergmen?

This is my favorite .22, bought it back in '77. It was pretty rough out of the box (all of them were that I looked at before picking this one). I did some extensive work on smoothing the edges of the trigger guard, lever and trigger (those things are hard as a rock).

I then had the lever deep blued and trigger gold plated. A few years ago I decided to give it a complete make-over. I found a local 'smith that is a perfectionist at stock and action work and gave it to him for a few months. He put a new checkered stock on it (original was smooth), hand rubbed and polished and hand fitted it to the action. He sent all of the metal parts to a place in Wyoming to have them polished and deep blued. The sides of the receiver have a mirror finish on them (not easy to see in the photo). When I got it back I disassembled the action, smoothed the working parts, cleaned them, lubricated everything and re-assembled. It is slick, tight and accurate. A couple more:

It will be inherited by one of my kids at some point.

That's some postcard stuff right there.

I bet modern Photoshop could make a good run at removing the wires and light poles in the second one.

^^^Ace pics dude. Nice processing. I'm down with the lines except for the big and little ones running across.
