So, Dave Ramsey....on car buying....

I did the responsible thing and put my Range Rover on a credit card :laughing

[*Dave Ramsey strokes out from the other side of the country*]

Oh yes. Please say it was a 28% APR with zero rewards but still has an annual fee kinda card. That’d push Dave right over the falls.

Speaking of 28%, I just saw this posted on a group I follow for dealer employees. Can you imagine the chain of bad decisions that led to a credit rating that put someone in this position? And one last bad decision signing this piece of shit contract.

So the car was 5300 and s/he got talked into 3000 worth of extras?

Def getting repod

Makes me wonder if there was a threshold for financing so they had to push that amount finance up beyond $5k.

Finance did a good job selling that warranty. Pretty unnecessary because Kia’s aren’t awful.

I can almost guarantee this is a young service member and there was a sign out front that reads, "Guaranteed Financing, E-1 and Up!"

A $5K Kia isn't gonna have a whole lotta life left in it...That's a high miler.

$4k worth of add ons.

Really must suck paying for a POS car three times over. And a few years into it, the car will more than likely be finished off and their “platinum” service contract will find a way to weasel out of paying the claim for an engine. So continue to pay for a car that’s worthless or just stop paying and continue the cycle of having shit credit.

I don't know what the APR is on the CITI Costco card. I was ready to write a check but they said I could put in on my card if I wanted points. Hell yes I want points. :laughing

(Card gets paid off every month, I don't put anything on it unless I have the cash to pay the bill in full)

They shouldn't pay off the Kia because they can make a bunch more by investing in leveraged stocks. You're paying off the Kia with future dollars.

I let a dealership do me dirty like that when I was 21. Not THAT bad but pretty embarrassing.

Never again.

It probably would be cheaper to borrow the money from a loan shark.:laughing
