So Who Rode in Today?

Dry, alert, energized and ready to work.
Riding in is way better than coffee.
Still enjoy that first cup of coffee once I get into the office, but it is more for the hot liquid rather than the caffeine

Rode in today, I should be getting some new tires in the next week or so...

:ride Taking advantage of a break in the rain, I rode in as well. Recently I picked up a thermal undershirt and it's excellent insulation. Next is cold weather gloves for my poor chilly fingers

Rode in today. No more riding in the rain until I get a new two-piece, my a* is really old and even after multiple treatments of NikWax.

If the weather holds this weekend, I'll give the bike a quick wash/detail before I put on the Hippo Hands.

i've been riding every day since getting new tires :ride

it's cold. my zip up fleece works good in combo with the aerostich one piece and heated seat/grips on max! believe i saw 39f on the ride in. lots of fog. thanks to confire for being on scene early in the am getting the fallen trees out of my way :teeth

:coffee:

God Damned IT! I am going to have to have surgery next year on my wrist for a Carpel Tunnel issue. I just made a goal to ride all 365 days next year : |

I have seen 42 and amazingly it's been such pleasant, toasty rides in.

I "liked" the intention to ride 365 and the pleasant, toasty ride comments.

I do not like to hear that you have to have surgery next year! I am on the computer all day everyday; the idea of carpel tunnel scares me :wow

Base layers, mid layers, insulating layer, and my Aerostich onesie and these gloves:
Hestra Fall Line gloves are the best. And I'm good down to the 30°F-ish range.

Still riding in, we have light fog here in the Central Valley but it's nothing like the Tule Fog we used to get here ten years ago. But I haven't seen the sun in like two weeks so there's that :ROFLMAO:

My gloves are my weak point for sure, currently wearing non insulated ropers that end at the wrist.

Shoutout to our guys Jolo and Christopher who ride in daily from Pittsburg and Oakley. These guys are hardcore.
I commuted from Vallejo to San Rafael for many years. I did it all on 2 wheels, rain, frost or shine.
Doing Hwy 37 on a moto is the only way to go.
Your guys upped the degree of difficulty by adding an unsavory stretch of Hwy 4 (redundant?).
I honestly didn't mind the ride. As I mentioned in another thread, arriving to work energized by a motorcycle ride simply fueled my productivity.
I sure don't envy your guys tho. .....especially when I'm perched on an easy 5 minute commute.

Finally I know,
Fog in the central valley, seen it on LA news, a side view.
I knew it wasn't raining, wondered about what/why this thread ?
I have been thinking of those runs to the Sacto toy run, thick tule fog near freezing.
When I drug out my Santa hat with run pins/buttons, heavy is this crown of 30 years accumulation.

Watching LA weather, all happy about their temps in the 80's, hotter than Phoenix right now.

Been riding to work pretty much non-stop. Rarely see bikes on the way in, and see the occasional rider on the way home.

Caught up to someone splitting lanes on a Can Am or similar trike a week ago...should say trying to split. Looked awkward and embarrassing.

I was out of the driveway and rolling along before I realized it was very lightly raining this morning. More of a heavy falling mist at that point, really.
Tried to turn into actual rain a couple times. Riding through microclimates is always interesting. There were different little areas leaving the neighborhood where it was dry.
