So Who Rode in Today?

Took the bike the past couple days but couldn't today since I had to bring the dog in. I've considered putting her on my back during the ride, but I'm not sure if I could get her effective ear protection. I do ride my bicycle with her on the back though.

Finished break-in on the ninja 500 over the weekend. Back on the beemer. So. Much. Better…

HOWEVER, I will say this about the ninja 500, it is a rockin’ little bike. I got the base model; no ABS, lowest-end possible suspension. On the highway, I feel a bit like a rolling traffic cone due to the top-end limitations in CA traffic.
In the twisties, tho, the bike is an absolute delight. For a brand-new 2025 model that I bought for $3999, I don’t think there is a better bike for the money. The suspension is garbage and can be upgraded.

Note, this will be converted to track/race duty hopefully by the opening AFM round in April.

It's been a while since I was on BARF, missed it a lot, though I've always been more of a pretty little wallflower. Dodged the usual lane changes while I was sharing lanes on 4 on the way to 242/680, didn't die so we're all good! Riding the XT250 I have the same sentiment as Joezilla916, I feel I should have one of those yellow flashing lights mounted to my helmet.

Well, except for that ONE thing L0L

Didn't ride in today (I ride everyday), supposed to rain good and none of my stuff is waterproof anymore :(

Rear-ended in my little truck on Monday and they gave me this crazy shit as a rental. I'm 5'9" and almost need a step stool.

But it's been nice enough the rest of the week to ride in - flashing new stickers in the parking lot today

You know that old saying, sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield.

Monday's ride in was spectacular. Small VW knew what he was doing. Aside from the hairpins, nothing under 65. I was more impressed to see Washington plates.

Today, stop and go the whole way up. I dropped back to later discover at the top a double gravel truck. Illegal! And I held back enough that I didn't know he was up there and had nicely pulled out to let everyone pass, except I didn't make it.

Well, I passed anyway, only to catch up to an 18 wheeler on the way down. Illegal!
