Spider infested bike... wut to do...

I have this problem with my F4i too, they get my mirrors, and occasionally they make it behind my screen and create web's to my grips but nowhere else. I had reason to believe they were living in the base of the mirror because I kept seeing webs in the smaller area's of the mirrors but nope, they keep coming back.

I would think that maybe a vacuum might work too.. Pop 75 cents in and go to town on it, if not like said above, maybe the compressed air. Although I would think that the compressed air at the gas station would work better than a can of that dust off crap.

Go hard or go home :)

i have to park my bike outside on the street and every single morning when i get to my bike i have to wipe down all the spider webs all over my bike....

heres a picture the circle areas are the spots where theres usually ALWAYS a new spider web everyday.

theres also a lot under the seat around the battery.
is there a way to get rid of these spiders?

i was thinkin about using one of those computer dust cleaners

is this a bad idea? any advises on what i can do to at least kill SOME of the spiders and reduce the amount of webs i gota wipe down everyday?

Stop parking under trees!:wow

I have a Harvestman living behind my guage cluster. Every morning I have to remove the web from my clutch lever. I call him Henry.

Maybe if you slap a giant bird decal on the side of your bike it might help :cool

Tell them to take MSF and get their own bike and stop trying to go 2 up with you...

i guess its not that big of a deal, but i really hate spiders, theres also a dead spider stuck inside my speedo meter around 50 so i have no idea how fast im goin past 50mph because the needle just gets stuck there lol

maybe ill get a pic of it tomorrow, its actually pretty hilarious, who knows how long that spiders been dead in there.

Wow! Leave the spiders then! Maybe one will get jammed into your odometer and stop the bike from recording miles!

I just, you know, pull the webs out with my hand.

Remove those spiders, and others will come. It is like trying to fight ants, you simply can't win.

For more permanent solutions either garage or cover the bike.

The only spiders we have that can really cause problems are the Black Widow and the Recluse. I did find a black widow on a car I had sitting in the country for a while, but I don't think they would settle on a bike that is used fairly regularly.

Off topic, but I caught that Black Widow and kept her in a small glass aquarium for a while. She was entertaining to say the least. Those are badass mofo's for sure!

My 750 gets a few spider passengers when it sits outside. I just take them for a ride, doesn't bother me.

This
just keep them out of the helmet

I've done that-this is why I now keep my helmet in the house, not the spider-infested garage. I somehow didn't smoosh the SOB and they came crawling down my faceshield. I sprang into action and screamed like a little bitch, then pulled over and let it out.

I'd prefer a bee-way less creepy.

I too vote for the bee

I just pull off webs with my hand...after it's been gloved. I don't think anyone's living inside my bikes, though.

Fire is the spiders only natural enemy

put one of those big plastic owls on the seat! spiders hate owls. It worked to keep the ducks out of my pool.
