Spider infested bike... wut to do...

There are other spiders that can cause necrosis, in fact my 944 tends to get infested with these clear/tan small-ish spiders every summer that like to roam the car at night. Have had them drop down in my face while I was driving on more than one occasion. Have yet to be bit by one but I have grabbed a few and squished them with my hands while letting out a menacing growl. (I mean I screamed like a little bitch.)

Had a spider web at the bottom of my bike near kickstand. Would clear and spray no luck. Finally sprayed with web intact and got the spider. Found it dead in the web, it was a big black widow!! What you don't know can hurt you make sure you know what kind of spider it is!!

If you get a very stiff, irregular web, assume black widow (around here anyway, though maybe it applies to where you are as well), and keep in mind the spider is likely hiding just out of sight, if you were thinking of probing the area with your fingers.

I get spiders on my bikes sometimes, but no black widows.

A Bat in the garage eats all the spiders and insects. It is very meticulous gets in all the tight places. If you don't mind a Bat flying around when the garage light is switched on

Holy necrothread Batman!

Fire is the spiders only natural enemy

I posted this three months after I joined. I was not even 30 yet...

It is still accurate.

It's good to know that spiders haven't evolved to the point of being impervious to fire after all these years.

I'ts a GS500 you would be doing yourself and the bike a favor if you just set it on fire.

fucking hate that bike

Maybe not, but biologists have discovered invisible spiders...

i seriously do not get people’s fear of spiders. they are among the most universally hated creatures among us - and it is phenomenally undeserved. it’s irrational considering our size differential and how predictable they are. i love them, and black widows are among my favorites. they are incredibly beautiful, and very docile - easy to catch and release. which is good to do as they are great to have in the garden (they control inspects - the arachnid version of a good mouser).

she had no intention to hurt you. please be more kind to the next one you meet. you could literally coax one into your hand and take it to safety if it weren’t for your fear.

Unless your a Bat than Spiders are Lunch.

fyi Spiders head indoors during the Winter.
During sleep people unknowingly eat spiders that crawl into their mouth. So if your human, spiders are a midnight snack.

A dude at work nearly jumped out a window because I picked up a spider and walked toward him thinking I was going to throw it on him.
Best not to tell people at work that you're afraid of spiders. Didn't make sense to me so I assumed he was joking.
