StonyBARF 17 September 7, 8, 9, 10, 2023

Hopefully, the plan will involve me, ogling your new bike around the campfire in Fouts Springs, and listening to your TAT tales … :laughing:thumbup

I sincerely hope that will be the scenario that plays out.

You guys rule. Once I figure out where the hell I'll be living in September, I will start to work out a plan.

Are you considering a move back out west? We miss you! No one else can out do me with stupid drunk campfire tricks like you. Nor is there anyone more capable of filling me with drugs when I stick a cacti in my eye. :twofinger

But seriously, we would figure out a fly and ride an option if you wanted to join in.

No plans to move out west at the moment, but it is not out of the scope of possibility. I'm at a bit of a crossroads right now and have no idea where I'll be a month from now. I just came across that pic of you laying in the clinic bed with duct tape over your eye. That was definitely not a fun day for you. Memorable, though....:rofl

I do hate to borrow bikes, but I will do my absolute best to attend this event. I don't even care if I'm able to join you all on the trails. Just hanging out and enjoying the campsite would be enough for me! :party

Hawthorne Rally scheduled the same weekend as Stonybarf dammit!

I am... it has always been the second weekend in September :twofinger

Who in charge of dis... that does not know the Rydther history! :x

Rallies were posted in January. I think we got fuvbarred by the in going closures :cry

I think you have a choice.

Ride Stoney or go to Hawthorne.
I would not cancel on that many people.

Or do both :dunno

Stony Friday and Saturday Hawthorne Sat Sunday

Sadly the StonyBARF rally has become somewhat marginalized with dwindling participation, and scheduling issues.

I say we move forward with it anyway since it's reserved if we can come up with the funds to pay for it. This is my favorite BARF gathering personally. It's close and cheap too.

I won't cancel it.

As we get closer, there will be more folks confirming attendance I am sure.

As much fun as it is to get stupid stumbling drunk, and nearly arrested in Hawthorne....... I will be attending Stonybarf in September. :teeth

I've made the decision to attend Hawthorne. It's closer to me and after riding that far, I think I'd enjoy some lazy time by the pool. I'll miss all of you dirty folks. :(

Money sent.

Where area all the BARF Brappers at?

Who wants to go see the Steam Donkey?

Those pics make me REALLY wish that Stony was on a different weekend than Hawthorne. :(

I have a vague plan to hit up St John Mountain on Thursday evening and Friday morning:

This will be the first Stonybarf in many years that Butch gets to attend. Like Cabrito, IMO this is one of the best barf events going. Disagree that attendance is dwindling, last Stonybarf had a good turnout. Fires, floods, falling down trees have had an impact on scheduling, the conflict hurts but just being able to get a date is a major accomplishment.

Huge thanks to all the individuals and clubs that put in the effort to clear trails, stay on top of booking and all that stuff.

Maybe it’s time to start putting Stonybarf onto the rally calendar?
