I think it's just a bad idea, period; it encourages the sort of road racing / urban stunting attitude that in turn makes things dangerous for me, Mr. "I just want to ride to work / school / the nearest pretty mountain".

I don't thing you are cut out for this sport.

Drive to work and stick to something more your speed.

What we really need are signs posted everywhere explaining which bikes are OK and wihch are not BARF approved vehicles. Someone might get the wrong idea and think it might actually be fun to go for a safe, spirited ride on a lonely road with 'sport'bike.

Pepys, John "Stumpy" (1943-1969): David and Nigel met the tall, blond geek in 1964 while touring as members of the Johnny Goodshow Revue. At a Southampton pub then known as the Bucket (now the Bucket and Pail), the boys jammed with the bespectacled drummer, nicknamed "the peeper" and then a member of the Leslie Cheswick Soul Explosion (now Les and Mary Cheswick). The three men would go on to form the Thamesmen and later, with Ronnie Pudding and Denny Upham, Spinal Tap, which played its first gig in December 1966. Pepys would die in a bizarre gardening accident shortly after the release of the band’s third album, "Silent But Deadly." (IST) Nigel: "It was really one of those things the authorities said, ‘Well, best leave it unsolved.’ "

Why the hell should riding a motorcycle off the track be called a 'sport'?

Maybe if more people thought of it as a sport, they would take a more intelligent approach to riding with gear and within their limits.

I don't think he's ever had to assist his suspension with his legs or flick his bike enough to be sore after a ride.

Are you talking about sportbikes, or sport-humping?
