Tacoma

they got an '02 M3 with 35k at a local lot, purrs like a kitten, for $20k...:teeth

I own an '05 Tacoma TRD Pre-runner V6.

Absolutely love it. Before that i owned a 1992 toyota 4x4 that had close to 250k miles on it by the time i sold it.

Tacomas (or Toyota trucks in general) hold their resale value very well. I bought my truck for $18k two years ago and could probably get $16k for it now.

These trucks are very popular so while you may find them everywhere, they dont normally stay on the market for long.

Like others have said, i wouldnt be too concerned about the mileage with a 2nd gen. Ive seen some pretty beat up ones and the engines will still be strong.

I wouldnt even bother with an 04. If you are going to get a previous gen, look into a 2000-2002 v6 - bullet proof engines.

You could easily find a second gen 2wd and/or 4 cylinder for less than $15k...

yeh, Ford's don't last very long :twofinger

details??

2006 White Prerunner TRD, 140k miles. SUPERRRRR CLEAN, original owner, Kenwood navi/dvd deck, Brand new nitto grapplers, brakes and rotors just got done as well as oil, Picked it up for 12k.

My 01 tacoma that I bought new 14 yrs ago is pissing me off because its so reliable. I'm sick of driving it but since its so old I don't bother full coverage insurance and don't cry if I scratch it.
Its got 135K and not a problem. If it doesn't break I'll probably still own it 14 yrs from now.
I'd like a new one but I hardly ever drive this one so why bother.

Great pickup! Congrats! You're going to start the modding bug! Parts are super cheap on the Taco too. I got new drilled/slotted rotors, and TRD brake pads for like $180!

this reminds me..need to get some airbags for the rear

good score. don't know if slotted/drilled rotors are really that wonderful, but if the original owner did the regular service, you've got at least another 100k to go.

nice find, Domo. I'd probably pull the trigger on a X-runner in the near future after a test drive.*cough* STAN*cough........:teeth
