I heard supposedly motorcycles are more polluting than automobiles because they don't have all the same emissions equipment a car has.

Like my Prius can get up to 50mpg and most motorcycles get around 50mpg but the Prius is much more heavy.

If both vehicles get 50mpg, it shouldn't matter how much one weighs. What would matter is that your Prius can hold four people (five if you have really small friends :), and your motorcycle can hold at most two people.

second, the cars pollute less because they can carry more catalytic converting smog equipment than a moto does. most cars only carry 1 person most of the time.

Yeah but the Prius is less fun than the motorcycle =P It sure is more comfy in poor weather though.

Haha check this one out, I was at Buttonwillow and I saw this Segway with 3 people on it!

Not to be a dick about it, but the post I responded to was about mileage not emissions.

Ahh I found out why the Electrify America CCS cables are so bulky, they're liquid cooled!

Got this off of plugshare

Fuel cell gets $4,500
EV Motorcycle $750

That sucks, but I guess the Fuel Cells need all that help.

Campbell has been trying to finish construction of a new 800 kg hydrogen station and its been 6 months of construction. All the hydrogen will be delivered but truck. I see work regularly and I wonder what the hell is taking so long.

Cool. thanks.

I expect warranty or lease terms are keeping the cheap Craigslist e-motos off the list.

35 mile min e range seems to be for the plug-in hybrids.
Generally, a vehicle is not eligible to participate in the CVRP for one of these reasons:

It does not meet required emission standards.
It does not have an original equipment manufacturer’s warranty.
It does not meet the 30-month lease term duration requirements.
It does not meet the minimum 35 mile electric range requirement (implemented December 3, 2019).
It does not have a base Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $60,000 or less (implemented December 3, 2019).

I would love to build a fuel cell motorcycle. When the technology gets cheaper and smaller. Doesn't seem that hard instead of a battery you got a h2 tank and fuel cell.

I was at the Toyota dealership a month ago and they were selling used Mirais for like $15k! That used to be like a $60k car! I'd imagine they are lease returns. If the infrastructure were better I would go hydrogen, but seeing as how the EV infrastructure still sucks I don't expect the hydrogen to be much better at all, plus the h2 is expensive I heard its equivalent to like $4 or $5 a gallon gas I think.

There cheap because nobody wants a car you cant drive outside California.
Without returning on a tow truck..
And hydrogen power has about 25 percent efficiency rating.

The nearest station outside of CA is Canada. And the car wont make it..
