New rule in play that I wasn't aware of.......2min minor for Instigating now coupled with 2min minor for fighting with face shield :wtf
 
The rule has been out there, but rarely enforced. You're supposed to take the helmet off if ya have a visor.

The penalty only applies if you're the instigator of the fight. You can fight all day long with one on if you want, but if you do what O'Byrne did and instigate, then you get 2. I love this rule. Stops the punks from starting fights knowing they're pretty much protected from taking a clean shot.
 
Speaking of penalties... Jeez Clowe.

Is it possible to get more than 60 minutes of penalty time in a single game?

Great game tonight! NHL is winning me back for sure it seems like they all watched GOON a lot in the off season! Clowe was like a damned Hansen out there tonight and Stuart's hit yesterday was like a bull dozen head oning a locomotive!!

There is a definite "top end" or game conditioning that the goalies are especially missing but it's coming back well!
 
not sure how clowe got bounced just for flipping out in the penalty box...but it's whatever. his fight with kassian looked like he beat some schmuck up that just woke up off the couch.

Was anxious how our team was going to start the season, but the Sharks have been playing lights out. Brad Stuart is looking really good and hopefully Burnsie comes back soon.

Also, I initially didn't think NHL Gamecenter was worth 50 bucks, but after being on the road the past week and streaming the Sharks game in HD on my phone, I changed my mind. There were some buffering pauses, but overall, I thought it was quite good. Now, whenever my gf drags me to go shopping and I get bored, I can bust out my phone and hopefully watch some hockey! :laughing

I travel a lot too, so I've been trying to decide whether or not to pick up Gamecenter. Does the Sharks feed include the play by play commentary from the local peeps, or is it some people we don't know?

Borderline, dirty stuff there. Guys like that dood are why fighting will unfortunately get taken out of the game- has no business on the ice, cant play or skate for shit and so stupid he will just donkey punch helmets. Disgusting, but you cant teach six eight, three hundo i guess.
 
From what I remember, Gamecenter is usually $120 for the season, but they "dropped" it to $50 for the lockout season.

I should probably also note, beware of regional blackout restrictions, but you can always bypass that via VPN.

It has both team's feed, which is awesome.

I forgot to include my hardware spec: Samsung Galaxy S3 using AT&T 4G

I'll try to get you some screenshots of my phone and computer, hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Are you kidding me? I don't give a shit about the guys brain stem, that is his job to protect it. Shawn Thorton is a strait goon goblin! Watch the video, he instigated the whole thing with a guy who was 6'7" and 250+ lbs. He got what was coming to him and thought he would actually win that. Surprise!!! And, he kept talking shit in the box. Got his shit owned properly. I will absolutely laugh at that..
