The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

man I dont' even care the Niners black color rush uniforms are bad as fuck

The Niners do not belong in Black. Not dark colors, not ever. Crimson, Gold and White, that is it.

I guess it is a San Jose 49ers thing.

Change the number to have a gold outline. And switch to some flat black helmets with a black, shiny/glossy SF and a red/gold center stripe. There is a way to make it work. It doesn't right now.

It's similar to the team. Good idea poor execution.

That R.Wilson/Nike commercial...makes me long to hear a femur crack like a .30 cal shot ala JTheismann.

i thought u guys said niner D was something

these rams are running the 9ers over man and its only 3rd qtr wtf

Yeah, it's the suck tonight again.

Gurley is no slouch.

Man, we just can't seem to put everything together for a solid 60 minutes.

Entertaining game.

Okay. I will not call him Hoyernick anymore. They played hard for the whole game and very good at times. Sorry they lost but at least the fans have a respectable team to root for. Hoyer exceeded Afro-man on numerous occasions tonight.

Well, in fairness, Gurley seems back to his baller ass origins again. All the same, the Niners made a run o fit. You have to remember, this is an expansion team, not a real football team. These Niners seriously have like 17 guys left on the Roster from last year and almost all of them are from Special Teams. With a new coach and new GM. This is about as ground Zero as it gets for a football team. It will take half a season for these guys to start to feel what they have. SO tonight, they were a push over in the first half and were sloppy, but they played some ball though.

Seems to me like a team trying to build to somewhere.

lol that loss was fun as fuck are you kidding

also that was the fucking worst OPI call I have ever seen EVER.

also that was the fucking worst OPI call I have ever seen EVER.

The 9ers have been getting a couple of calls each game where I scratch my head and think, "That was (fill in the blank)?" There was a holding call last night on Jurzcek (sp?) that made it 2nd and 20 and I swear it was a clean block. Meh, that's football. I saw bad calls made against the Rams as well. Good offenses find a way to keep going. We're not there yet.

Robinson is still toast. Either that or he's in zone too much. Which means they aren't comfortable putting him in man coverage...or they know he's toast as well. The problem is that he doesn't know how to tailor his zone set up to be in position to make a play. Adjust to the opposition and situation. Speaking of Taylor sure hope we keep that kid around.

At half time I thought it was going to just be shit. The coaching staff is good. Kept the team motivated and adjusted to stay in the game. Lost by inches.

This team may not win many this year but they could prove to be spoilers to any playoff pretenders especially once Foster and Reid are back in the lineup.

yeah. Triplette is just a bad ref.

Don'tya wonder what Dino Blandino and all those guys at the ref center are sayin or thinkin when these dudes stain the brand? Especially when the on-air ref expert strongly disagrees with the call, although I don't think they asked on that OPI call.

That's how you know it was an awful call though. They barely mentioned it and moved on ASAP, didn't show any alternate angles, etc. That basically killed the potential game winning drive.

twas a decently entertaining game although IMO the most entertaining part was the INT on Hoyer's first pass...didn't someone say Hoyernick here? lol. that seriously was a blast from the past (year). but at least he picked himself up and showed well at the end, unlike kaep so kudos to him.

Right, except for that playoff game against Green Bay when Kaep threw a pick six on the first drive and then came back to win the game?

:laughing
