The Official 2017/2018 NFL Thread

My Raiders...oh well.

Niners...where will a win come from?!

It will come from their new Franchise QB next year.

A lot of folks are saying this QB class will be like the class of 2004 or '83. The Niners are a slam dunk for a top 3 pick. If they kill it in this draft they way they did last year, this could be a very dangerous San Jose Team in 2019. Very Dangerous.

I expect Big Blue will also be shopping for a new Franchise QB in this years draft, as we look like a sure fire Top 5 pick.

You do not want to be the team that loses to a winless team this late in the season.

Given all the injuries my 9ers may go 0-16. This is beyond suckage.

I would still be surprised of the went FULL LIONS. You never go FULL LIONS. They will probably shock somebody later in the season, maybe the Rams in Week 17 when everyone is thinking about the Playoffs and resting starters. They also get to play in The Toilet Bowl in 2 weeks against the Giants, so, flip a coin there, you know?

Yeah, I feel the same way. Beatherd isn't that bad, he just has no protection. He can win a game if he isn't getting hammered everytime. With that many injuries and substitutions, the opposing defense is just blood-lusty.

The ONLY spark of hope in yesterday's game was INT-to touchdown. It happended so a win possible. i think they will win a game because their defense has shown talent and heart. Gotta love those guys, they keep playin so hard.

I hate to say it, but the Giants record is more troubling considering their pro QB, receiver etc than the obviously rebuilding and injured Niners.

I honestly don't know if we have a win in us. Earlier in the season we had so many opportunities to get off the snide...and fell short. We may have used up all our juice and with the injuries I'm not sure there are going to be any opportunities on the back side of the season. I was hopeful until yesterday. Then players started dropping particularly on the O-line. Was hopeful that the coaching staff would get ahold of the locker room by this coming week's game. With the injuries though?

I understand the sentiment. But other teams are having mounting injuries too, so there is that. Despite all the concussion stuff, there seems to be no shortage of season-ending stuff going on throughout the league.

I still like this year's D. They were on the field way too much but they still were getting results.

True. I'll still be watching more-so for any nuggets of individual performance from here on out. Just won't be thinking about W/L anymore.

Yeh. We may have to be content with knowing that plenty of winning teams have to nurse their bruises after meeting our D.

Ya know, as much fun as it has been watching the Iggles win, I am starting to wonder if its a sign of the apocalypse that they are the best team in football after 8 weeks.

Donald Trump is president, and the Iggles are the best team in football. Ya could say that is 2 of the 4 horsemen...

(in stupid Disney voice) "Its a whole NEW WORLD!!!!"

It really is like a different team, like imposters:laughing. Same fans.

Wut? Last time the Iggles won a ship was 1960. At least one aspect of MAGA is bearing fruit! :thumbup

i think Niners will beat the Stanton Cards at home. and maybe the Giants.

that FULL LIONS team was baaaaaaad. poorly coached, poorly assembled, and dudes playing to just not get hurt.

this feels different..... but i'm biased.

Clevland is teasing us with 0-16, too. like a game of chicken lol

Yeah, the Giants are WAY underperforming, while the Niners are kind of performing as expected for a super young rookie team. I have been saying the Coaching choices were TERRIBLE since they made Coughlin the scapegoat for the GM's CONSTANT bumbling, but it is so bad right now I am suspecting they are tanking for a QB.

If this team keeps McAdoo next year and does a 100% turnaround playing to expectations after drafting in the Top 5, you know it was an intentional tank in a QB rich draft.

Yeah, I can't understand how that happened. His facemask has extra bars and a relatively small opening around the eyes. Bizarre.

Niners are trading a 2018 2nd rounder to NE for Garoppolo WTF

I think they have (2) 2nd round picks...I think this was a good trade. Upgrade from what they had...

this is an awful trade.
  • Garrapollo is a UFA after this season (8 weeks...)
  • there has never been a backup QB from NE who succeeded elsewhere
  • Niners just made a "win now" trade on an 0-8 team.....

I don't see it working out

garapolo will have no chance for success. he'll bolt as an UFA anyways to a team that has a chance.

seems doomed from the start
