The Walking Dead Season 7

I liked this week... it was good. Eugene is a wild card.... lol I think if given the choice he would remain loyal to Rick and Co... but he definitely will do whatever he needs to make sure he is okay in his current situation

I didnt really follow the plan of covering the walkers with metal... is that just a perimeter line of defense or does Negan play to move them all to a location to attack?

not to mention, wouldn't the metal immobilize them? or just disintegrate their flesh due to extreme temps. it didn't seem feasible....more like he was making shit up off the top of his head

Negan controls a fairly well organized army. They have multiple unknown outposts, and unknown total numbers. I got the impression there are a lot more Saviours at home base than we saw.

Even with the show of power when subjugating Rick and company that was not ALL the saviours. Negan's response of only killing a few of the group in exchange for 25-30 of his fighters should tell you all you need to know. Keeping the communities working for him, so that he can support his army/community is more important to him. Hell he considers 25-30 essentially disposable. That should scare you enough.

Well, one problem with the portrayal of Negan is that I am both unsure and uninterested in his motivations.

Negan catches Rick and the RV crew and kills 2 of them. Why not kill half of them? Or leave just 1 alive? Negan is supposed to be capable of immense cruelty, but of course, the show wouldn't carry on without half of the cast.

The past villains had a mystery to their motivations. Why did the Terminites eat people? What was the Governor up to? Even with Shane it wasn't sure if he would be good or evil.

Like any true zombie fan, we love to speculate how to survive after the apocalypse, and you are probably right that the Saviors have returned to their several outposts. I suppose I'm not convinced why they have become the dominant group. They all seem like cardboard villains.

How would his empire continue to retrieve ammo, guns and food, if he killed all the groups he came into contact with. He needs the most people he can control.

That's the thing. Rick and his group are only part of Alexandria, but the ones willing to fight.

shits getting boooooooooooooring

that is all

Seriously, right? At this point I'm just watching it to finish it. Gahd.

And Negan was kinda cool at first but now his whole "Hey I'm so cool" bat-swinging shtick is getting so tired and lame.

I work for a heavy equipment dealer and have thought about what machine I'd grab in a Zombie apocalypse. I'm thinking a D11 with some extra plating over the windows and other weak points (not many) would be fun to drive through the bad guys camp. At over 220,000lbs, not much could stop it.

I wish they woulda just rpged the first caravan of trucks when negan first pulled up to alexandria and knocked on the gate.

Id "say hello to my lil friend"

Just like they did to the biker group.... smh

Saviors are way too dependent on ruling through fear / intimidation, and spread too thin. Rick's group took out what looked to be like a relatively well-armed and supplied outpost with ease (minus the Maggie/Carol hiccup). And that was with far fewer numbers. Now, Rick's group has been established as pretty resourceful and badass and all, but as long as the apocalypse has been going on I find it difficult to believe there weren't other groups, especially in that region, who were smart enough to engage in some guerrilla warfare against the saviors. For that matter, I haven't seen too many booby traps in general. If there's few enough roads for the saviors to set up an ambush and sit around waiting for Rick (presumably with people scouting and following them), then sure the Saviors have enough numbers to maintain...in a limited capacity. But it doesn't take much to dig a punji pit, and if you know they're scouting on foot you could dig several a night until their camp was surrounded by a veritable minefield of pit traps. Taking out vehicles (fuel supplies actually lasting that long notwithstanding) is also a relatively simple matter. Some spike strips, homemade caltrops, etc along their egress routes from their camp? A tripwire linked to a tree trunk to block the road? Or even just digging under the road and weakening the ground so that foot traffic can cross but vehicles collapse the pavement. How about fertilizer explosives? Where's all the construction and farm equipment? One guy with access to a welding shop could build tank traps that would completely block off the Saviors' supply routes. Hell, just source a few bags of concrete from somewhere and make a shitty wall in the middle of the road overnight, then dig ditches to the sides of it so they can't drive around.

Any halfway-decently supplied group could accomplish this easily I think. Wouldn't even take that long. Set up a sniper or two to take a few potshots and hide every time they try and clear a road and you could whittle them down pretty quickly. Their society would quickly turn on itself and Negan.

I want to be with YOU during the next apocalypse!!!

They only had 2. The first went to the bikers. The second Daryl shot into the gas filled pond in Alexandria and all the zeds walked in like moths to a flame.

He knows it will work because he almost got taken out by a zombie wearing a molten metal helmet when he found his ammo factory.

Yeah, you'd think after Rosita got Eugene taken away, she'd cool it.

Hey let's alert Negan to the fact that we are still dangerous and trying to kill him, and also we have guns again, right before a multi community assault. That will work great.
