All in all I would agree – I am tired (not just of this thread) of dealing with the issue and I do not think all Euro-Americans (or people with badges – had one myself) are racist. Its all a mater of perception. My father won the hearts of three ladies in his lifetime - One black, one yellow and one white. Between dates and marriages, my siblings and I have most of the interracial relationship combinations covered – Dad was also American-Indian.
You can equate being African-American to riding a sport-bike on a busy street. Most of the time you are all alone and those around you may actively try to hurt you or make jokes that are not funny (playing chicken on a straight road – R1Girl -?). Some are friends and relatives out there in those cars, most are strangers with good hearts. But, if you do not pay attention, ya get the smack down when you least expect it. If you happen to be with a bunch of other riders, you’re suspect – must be up to stunt’n. It bothers me, but I try not to dwell on it. I worry about my nieces and nephews (no kids yet) and the world we will leave them.
Oh, yeah... I was looking for something else when I found the article - not sure what the site is all about.
