Warriors 16-17 Season

Ignoring these garbage games. When the playoffs start, we watch.

Interestingly, Grizzlies are the *only* team to beat GSW twice during the regular season since 14-15 season... Which is a crazy statistic in itself.

Playoffs, however, are a different animal. I kind of see it like tennis; you might sneak a game or two off of a great player, but they'll get you in the long run.

Yea, I saw the Korver thing. Hmm.

There's a pattern emerging in these garbage games though...GS is going to have a tough time dealing with the Spurs and Memphis in the playoffs.

It's hard to find fault with a 31-6 team, but it's team that shouldn't give up a 24 pt lead in any game.

They're good, but not good enough to "cruise" like it appeared they were doing last night.

they mentioned it today on the radio. in the 4th quarter they are becoming too selfish. the assists go way down and the iso plays are the norm. it may be sort of a thing they have to figure out. KD needs to adjust, and Curry needs to get back to what made him great. They both need to get Klay involved more.

oh well. still not concerned. but that was an embarrassing loss.

As the season progresses, it becomes more clear that Draymond is the most consistent player on the team. He never stops trying to win. I get that part of this year's ethos is not worry so much about reg-season record, but some of the showboating shit is costing them. I love Durant, but his fourth quarter tendency from OKC has followed him here. Bothers Draymond too.

Wow, Cavs are only a .500 team in 2017... (That will most likely change on Friday when they play the Kings.)

I watched the game tonight and there was something as rare as a unicorn sighting, Bron got called for an offensive foul.

Really? ... :facepalm

If I looked at specific subset of Warriors games, by your logic I could make the argument that they are an 0-6 team this season.

My assessment of beating the Cavs this year is having to exploit any matchup against Kevin Love, Korver, Frye and JR. Maybe Kyrie but he's been improving his defense.

Meaning guys like Draymond, Klay, Zaza, Iggy, Livingston will need big games. What happens though is once a player gets hot, Lebron the coach/gm will switch and guard them. So basically any guy that Lebron and Kyrie aren't on will need to get the ball a lot but also need to score with a decent percentage immediately.

Steph vs Kyrie is a wash for me. Not sure who can guard Durrant for an entire game. Lebron can but then his offense will suffer.

Guarding Tristan Thompson always scares me. He gets so many offensive rebounds. Hope Javale, Zaza and West can slow him down. Javale will help in the rebounding.

Still baffled how Livingston went off I think in game 1 last year with 18pts and then was ok the rest.

I'm getting the sense the Warriors are kinda messing with the league in that they Kerr is testing odd matchups during the season just to see what works, not showing his hand completely.

Cavs team is the same minus the new Korver add but that not as much as a change as adding Durant, Zaza, West, Javale and McCaw for the Warriors.

Cavs still make it to the finals even though they seem to be on vacation this week.

Meant as a joke before the big game on Monday... you sure are a sensitive little blossom , aren't you....:laughing

In an "Apples to Apples" comparison, why don't you look at the Warrior games over the same time period?

(I did it for you, but it doesn't include tonight's game against the Pistons.)

... and yes, no doubt the Cavs will be in the finals, the East is set up nicely for them. In fact, I'm not nearly as sure the W's will be there since the West isn't so nicely set up for them with the Spurs, Rockets, & Thunder playing the way they are, and that Memphis game is a hard dumpling to ignore....

^ Yea, but to be fair, that's 4 home games and 1 away game versus the Cavs' 4 away games 2 home games.

Jazz and Trailblazers play really well at home, and those were back to back games, too... Everyone has a few scheduled losses each season, ya know? It's basketball - long, long season...

We'll see how Monday goes. Cavs have been on the road for a while, which doesn't make it easier. Probably a good game either way; playing a rival really seems to fire teams up.

Oh shit, Anderson Vareflop is in v the Pistons. I hope they can maintain the 20+ point lead. Oh shit, McCaw just gave it away.

But my feeling is Ron adams who was with KD I. Seattle will instill a more defensive mindset in him and they'll simply out score majority of teams.
I think I said the same thing in another thread, that Durant would surprise everybody with his D. Surprise! Warriors lead the league in blocks, and have 3rd or 4th best D.

Anybody miss Barbosa? Ian Clark is looking great. Clark 3 > Barbosa layup.

Next week is going to be awesome. Cleveland, OKC, Houston. Fuck yeah. I predict 40+ from KD in OKC.

I give it 48 hours the Cavs announce a trade for some top 10 point guard to appease LeBaby.

That flop on the Draymond collision was a joke. Slow mo reply shows he saw Draymkn coming and engaged with his shoulder.
