Warriors 16-17 Season

Think Javale McGee makes the team?

Maybe under the right coaching he does well. A crazy athletic 7 footer is hard to come by.

I think he will make the team. Back up center. Don't want Varejao to be the one backing up Pachulia that's for sure. And plus, he's a 2x MVP :teeth

The announcers made it sound like he has some past unpleasant baggage. So not sure. He has done some good stuff in the pre-season games to be sure.

The worst thing I remember him doing was being friends with Gilbert Arenas during his "Bring your gun to work" period....

Go Indians! That's really exciting for the peeps there! I wasn't paying attention to the AL so I didn't know it was comin.

Anyway, saw the game over the weekend where they ran up the score against the Lakers. Wow, just wow.

I only drive to work on rainy days or occasional Fridays so I am getting used to listening to The Game since they will have the game call. FM. Weird. But I get to hear Raiders talk too which is interesting, since they, uh, have a good team!!!! I feel like Tolbert is the loser in this deal. He's still on the Sports Leader but his bread and butter topic is now officially limited.
Ah, Tolbert. Shitty year for him, losing the dubs and Ratto. I loved that duo. Lund is just "meh".

I loved his air time with Kerr and Walton. Now, it's gonna be lame. What is the fm station for games?

One thing that continues, are hilarious interviews with Bill Martin, the KTVU weather guy, who is just an excellent bro. A few weeks ago, Martin announced he was going to some Senior Master's Olympics type thing in New Zealand to high jump. That interview, which lasted about 15 minutes, was some of the funniest, best radio broadcasting I have ever heard. THose guys are hilarious. Then, I think on Monday, the head of the games from New Zealand was on talking about it. Martin is up for the dare, it's really funny. But yeah, being under pressure to not talk too much Warriors is a real bummer for Mr. T. Here's the link for games:

Tolbert might be the only one on KNBR I like. Lund and Greg Papa were a great duo. Lund with Tolbert is pretty weak. Tolbert is funny on his own. Ratto and his pessimistic routine was getting tired. He also used analogies that I think he knew no listeners would understand, tooting his own horn in a way.

Pretty pissed they canned Middlekauff and Haberman. The morning show sucks. Damon Bruce has his good and bad moments. Matt Stienmentz, Chris Townsend are the best I think. Townsend has been there since the start of the station, only one surviving.

95.7 The Game is going to have affiliates air the game for them in poor reception areas.

I haven't watched one preseason game yet, but here is my prediction:

If Curry, Durant, and Thompson have to play 37+ minutes a game, the Warriors do not win the championship.

I'm not concerned with 37 minutes, I'm concerned the 2017 Warriors won't have the defensive mojo of the championships Warriors lineup.

Barnes and Bogut and Ezeli, you will be missed.

Dear new guyz, please step up. :thumbup

No way they average 37min a game. Games should be blowouts like last year.

Bogut played like 12 minutes a game and really, I think he was more a passer. Defensively he showed up in the early playoff series and that was about it. He clogged the lane I suppose.

I like Ezeli's athleticism but didnt make the progress he should have.

Iggy, Livingston, David West will be expected to be more consistent and likely higher minutes than last year. They gotta keep leads created by the starters.

My minutes played prediction factors in defensive strength. Last season they were also a great defensive team and the margin of victory was the highest.

I'm sure the Warriors will score more points than last season but if the stars have to play to the last minute because they couldn't stop the other team, then they won't get far into the playoffs.

If you have a laptop or tablet w/hdmi out just plug it in or research some other way to connect your Internet device to the tv...

Watched the pre-season finale last night.

They just don't have the formula yet of how to integrate KD in, even though they are scoring. It's gonna be an interesting season. There was a kind of mode they were working for the last two years that became very familiar with their set ups leading to shots. I don't see it, yet. Don't know why Klay was so cold last night, but it feels like a disturbance of the Force at this point, offensively. A lot of good stuff did happen, but...

The Warriors will be the most scrutinized team this year, they will have to learn to adjust to the white hot light of the media spotlight.

I saw just the opposite. I think Kerr is going to do wonders with staggering rotations and there will always be a superstar on the floor. There's just so many options. I don't really know how I feel about Zaza yet. David West is okay, I still need to see more.

The best way to look at it, is what would harrison barnes have done in "that" possession? He would have jab stepped 3 times and then tried to burn his defender to a missed dunk or brick a 3. Now we have KD to just spot up on a 3 or drive to the bucket with his lanky self.

Also, KD rebounds and assists. He was getting in triple double realm last night. I think he's gonna fit in just fine.

Don't forget, when their opponents send their 2nd unit in. KD is subbed back in to play with ours so we'll always have a superstar playing.

I ain't forgettin. I'm just lookin for a groove. They had a groove and it served them very well except it just tired out Steph too much in the end. I'm hoping the abstraction of not setting records in the name of not feeling so much pressure doesnt result in less productivity by our Splash Bros.

Hey, it was asked on the radio the other day: is KD a Splash Bro yet??? Will he be? He's just so frickin likeable....of all the stars they could grab, I'm really happy. I do wish Lillard was playing for his home tho....kinda like Marshawn Lynch in this way....
