Warriors 16-17 Season

Warriors rolling, now David Lee is injured.

And Thomas is injured on the Celtics.

Looks like both Warriors and Cavs are going to go 12-0 to the finals.

I'll admit, I've pretty much checked out of the playoffs...it's been boring as hell.

I'm watching now in suspense of an injury instead of a win or loss.

Thought Javale got hurt but he didn't.

It's the NBA. The good teams win. It's been like that forever.

That's true.

In football, the lesser team can squeak out a win to advance.
In baseball, the lesser team can get hot and play better for 4 games (see Giants in 2010, 2012, and 2014).
In hockey, it seems like the better team usually advances but momentum seems to play a role.

In basketball, it's really hard to beat the better team 4/7 when everyone is healthy.

True but it's been awhile since both teams from the east and west seemingly walked through the playoffs to the Finals.

Cavs haven't really been tested. Warriors at least have been challenged in a few games.

Can't remember years prior where both teams seemed to cakewalk their way to the finals.

Spurs without the handful of injuries certainly would have been a better challenge for GSW. Pacers kept the Cavs to a series of four pretty close games. Apparently Thomas has been injured since game 7 with Washington, and won't even play tonight. So GSW? They haven't really had any decent competition, either. Let's be real here - any team that steamrolls undefeated in the finals hasn't had competition. That goes for both East and West. CLE and GSW are both playing well at the moment.

The 'good teams are always good' narrative doesn't really hold water when compared to the current era of superteams in which we live.

CLE vs GSW finals back to back to back three years in a row?

That's never happened before in NBA history for any two teams. Unprecedented.

Interesting side note...

Not only have there never been two teams that have gone back to back to back in the NBA finals, but *no* teams have ever met in the finals where each team was entirely undefeated in the playoff run up to that point.

:wow:wow:wow

Wow, as impressive a game by an undermanned, outgunned, less talented Celtics team as I have ever seen going back to the days of Havilcek and Cowens.

It may only be one game, but wow, the Cavs were rollin'. I still don't believe that I saw it.

So - we're in Switzerland for the next couple of months. The local channels don't seem to play the Warriors :p, and even if they did, watching games at 3am isn't compatible with my work. Are there any torrents or the like for the playoffs?
