Warriors 16-17 Season

TBH Pop did a hell of a job making that the issue and not that the Spurs dropped a 23 point lead in the 3rd quarter.

Thanks for the recap, B.A.

Yea, Celtics with #1 slot eh? That's nuts, considering they're (obviously) already a pretty great team. Maybe they'll pick Lonzo after all; Boston seems to be a gathering point for head cases.

No one (reputable) is calling Lonzo a head case.

Celtic's gonna pick Lonzo Ball? I really hope so just so that jack ass father and kid have to live in the snow :laughing.

But they don't need him. Boston looks quite enticing for free agents though, young, talented, salary cap room, tradition....

Yeah, they don't have the stabilizing personalities like JR Smith or Shumpert. Isn't one of the Cavs now a Kardashian boy toy? Lol!

Lonzo seems miles ahead of dad in the maturity dept. I think he could easily be another Jason Kidd with speed and size, but his shot mechanics that served him in college may have to be coached out of him as he has a tendency to hold the ball a fraction of a second too long and NBA players are much faster than what he has seen in college.

There are 2 more Ball brothers on the way up, and the dad is just as involved. The seem tailor made for LA teams and the reality show circus that is so prevalent there.

But if you get the kid, you get the dad... Who wants Dani when Puig won't stop hovering around the paddock?

I'm not saying Smith is a stabilizing personality, John, but Lebron's role as a mentor (whether you like him or not) is unquestionable. Cavs have no dog in this year's draft fight, though, so none of this matters.

Lebron runs a tight ship whichever team he's on. He certainly leads by example. You either fall in line or get shipped out.

As for Lonzo, he'll likely go to the Lakers. Lakers need a pass first true point guard. D'Angelo Russell thinks he's better than he is.

I'm hoping the 76ers and Celtics get better. Maybe Celtics package #1 to trade for a veteran AND sign Paul George, that would certainly give the Cavs a run for the next couple years.

well, Papa Marquez seems to be rather omnipresent. The Lakers, like Repsol, seem more equipped to handle it than, say, the Nets.

We've seen a lot of examples of over-bearing fathers in sports (as well as "uncles", posses, etc), but LaVar seems to have taken it to a whole new "Triumph of the Will" level. :laughing

But damn, how lucky are the Celtics? Ainge has them positioned (regardless of how they get destroyed in this year's Conference Finals) to ascend in the East as the Cavs age and lose players, and doing it without super-stars.

Pretty sure it will tighten up, though....

I couldn't help but hang around for the post-game and watch reactions.

To see Pop talk about his team not being "in it" was just weird. There must be something to spend so very much time with your team, be a celebrated champion of a coach, then have such a emotional disconnect like that. It's the Conference Finals. How can they not get up for it? Weird.

Not that the Warriors do everything Kerr wants, like when they haven't "kept it simple" at times and done some showboatin' passing. Just sayin to be fair.
