stories of why people got suspended in high school tend to crack me up...well most of the stories. i got suspended twice in high school for the following reasons:

● i was listening to my disc-man during my literature arts class when my teacher came up and took it away without even asking right off my desk, leaving my headphones on my head without the disc-man. so i got up quickly, walked to her desk and took her purse and held it ransom until i got my disc-man back. we exchanged belongings about 5 minutes after her taking my disc-man like we were dealing drugs, but that followed with a week of suspension.

● iirc, this was when funny video websites were on the rise. for example ebaumsworld.com, skoopy.com and break.com. i e-mailed the admin of the school and called him a "faggot" for blocking them. i got 3 days of suspension for that.

I never got suspended. I worked in the deans office and would go pull people out of class and escort them to the dean.:mm4l

Nada, I wasn't so stupid as to get caught for anything I could get suspended over. :laughing

Putting condoms on as many classroom doorknobs as my buddys and i could manage in one lunch hour.Got caught in the act by my math teacher. Also picked up the shop teachers VW Bug and placed it between two steel poles.Someone snitched us off on that stunt. Also riding my RD400 through the hallways during lunch, almost got expelled for that one.

I never got suspended, but I did get a ticking-off for shagging half the fifth form...

I brought a dead round (no powder, no primer) of training ammo for a 20 mm cannon to show to a friend. Since the only conceivable way that someone could use it as a weapon was as a club, (and a damn poor one, too) and there was nothing in it that could burn or combust or react; it was just a hunk of brass, I thought, in my 17 year-old naivete, that it would be perfectly okay to put it in my backpack and show him at lunch. I didn't realize, at the time, that people are fucking stupid and that anything that looks like its associated with a gun will cause school administrators to fly into a panic. Luckily, the LEO who came over to look into the matter immediately recognized why I thought it was okay to bring it to school, laughed, said it was less dangerous than a stapler, told me to use a bit more judgement next time, and left me in the hands of the administration. The principal of the school was an incredibly rare specimen, in that she recognized that I did not have the mens rea associated with bringing a firearm to school, so she gave me 5 days suspension instead of expulsion, and for that I am very grateful.

That incident taught me much about the world and the people in it.

I hate to bust your chops because you seem like a good dude but you really need to re-evaluate "That incident taught me much about the world and the people in it.".

Not everyone knows the difference between one motorcycle or another, not everyone knows the difference between an LCD screen or plasma and not everyone knows the difference between a live shell or a dead round.

We had a yearly senior class party at a local tavern ( in Germany when kids could drink legally). I and Mike Ruch stole the Vice Principal's ( he was the enforcer) signature stamp and stamped all the senior class party tickets with his signature.

They were going to expel me and send me back to the states a week before graduation but I guess somebody had a change of heart.

That's what I learned. ;) People are ignorant and often don't want to be educated. And that people in power usually don't work on any sort of set of rational principles.
