When was the last time you rode a motorcycle?

I got to ride past couple of days.

We've been blasted by the winds for a solid week. Almost constant 30MPH w/60 gusts of COLD wind. Not Good Eats.

But it cleared up for my services appointment. Took my bike in for service and to get some lights installed, they gave me a loaner. Swapped 'em out the next day.

The loaner was an F800 GT. Nice bike, tiny thing ("tiny"), seemed quite light. Didn't feel like a 9 year old bike save for some faded switch gear, 11K miles on it.

Spectacularly uninteresting motor. Just -- amazingly dull motor. Other than that, besides the pegs being a touch high for my creaky knees, it was fine. I'm sure it would be wonderful if they plonked my motor in it. Surprising, I wanted to contrast it to my old VFR. 800, "GT"/"Sport Touring"-ish bike.

The 800 GT is NOT a VFR, by any measure.

I miss my VFR.

Well update for me as I got to go out and get dirty on the ADV bike with a couple of friends and knock the "dust" off my dirty skillz......had a blast and re-discovered muscles that were missing LOL :)

ride almost every weekend, rarely and unfortunately in between… can’t wait for the weather to warm up more, but not an issue regardless :ride

Couple weeks ago. It was pouring rain after that. This week it's clear and sub-zero overnight.
I got the honeysuckle trimmed back and pruned down the flowering crab apple.

edit: oops. sub-freezing. It gets about 28 positive degrees f.

It was cold this morning, I saw 34F indicated. I now know where the frost is on my commute! The BMW koolaid is delicious :ride:

Does being your own motor on two wheels count?

If 'yes', then yesterday morning. Three to five times a week in order to keep the gerontologists at bay.

Does this count? I had all my gear on, sat on my bike and thumbed the starter only to hear click-click-click. :-(

It was in the mid-30s but I had the bike hooked up to my trickle charger so I was not happy. I think it was the original battery and my bike's a 2018 - the new battery is supposed to be delivered today.

The last time I rode (before my botched hip surgery) was on one of my CT90's. :laughing
At the time, I figured I'd be riding again in 4-6 weeks. If I ever attempt to ride again (and I hope to), that's the bike I'll start out on.
