When was the last time you rode a motorcycle?

I rode last Saturday. A quick jaunt down the coast on the Superduke to where Highway 1 is blocked off, about 15 miles past Big Sur Valley. From my house in Salinas about 140 miles round trip.
traffic was fairly heavy until past the valley then light.
Felt great!

Any speculation on when Highway 1 will open again? It's on my bucket list to do the ride you describe, but also to go beyond to do some bar hopping in SLO.

All I can find is sometime in 2025.
Nacimiento Ferguson rd (from Fort Hunter ligget near King city)is open now, you could always ride over that( great ride) catch 1 (south of the slide)and ride south to Cambria. Take Santa Rosa creek rd ( another great goaty rd)up to the top of 46 . Ride down to Paso then down to SLO.
There are other better ways to get to SLO from the top of 46 but can’t remember the name of the road right now at work.
I can get the info if your interested.

March 1st. Went up my old route to hit some Skyline. Rusty AF. Took me a minute to remember how to activate cruise control and then how much gas I have. Two hours and my knee didn't hurt at all.

How long are you off the bike, Cootz?
And forgive me for missing this detail.....
Which bike was involved and how bad's the bike?

It hurt my heart to learn you got taken out.
My sincerest healing vibes sent. :love
It was my 950SMR. I fucking love that bike so much.

I will shot you a DM. I don't want to take over this thread.

Got out my XR650L and rode it a few miles today. I had not started it since sometime in December. No problem at all getting it running. It's still too cold out to do any serious riding around here.

I was tempted to stop and take a photo just to post it to "Photos of your bike on location" but I was never near any interesting background, so why bother?

I'll start riding regularly starting the last week in March.

I used to ride almost daily....these days it's like once every couple of weeks. I'm barely creeping up on 4,000 miles on a 1.5 year old bike. In my 20s that would have been 14,000 by now.
