Why only 6 laps???

I apparently have considerable experience from the rear of the field in 600prod. No lapping occurred at my only monowave T'hill race, at Infineon the top 10% catch or lap the bottom 15% as is. With 2 more laps at T'Hill, I'm guessing the top 40% would catch/lap the bottom 40%. Maybe in a multiclass grid, you could get riders passed twice by the leaders, I didn't do the math there. I don't know when or if that is a problem.

it's probably closest to 20 miles without going over. if i had to guess. sears is 2.22 miles. Thill is 3.0. 8 laps of Sears is 17.7 mi. 6 laps of Thill is 18 mi.

don't know what the track length of the BW config we run is. but they probably calculate laps by overall race distance, not time.

so it costs us all what? $20 per mile? more? which equates to....$50 per minute of race time? just sayin'

but what about FP? thats 10 laps at sears and 8 laps at thill putting it over 20 miles.
i think the more laps the better. i think we should be doing 10 laps at least at each track.

I'm wondering if it's derived from a lap time discrepancy between fields that are often gridded together. 250production gets put out with the 650's, at infineon there's a 15 second difference in the leaders laptimes, but at thill that number climbs to 20 seconds
