World Series 2016: Cubs vs. Indians

I'm still not gettin' why Chapman was brought in to a game with a 5 run lead when there was a game 7 on the horizon.

Another way of saying that the Cleveland pitching staff's arms are worn out. That doesn't bode well for them in the final game.
This is looking more and more like the Warrior's collapse last season in the finals.

Well... I don't think I would have brought Chapman in, either... But I guess the Cubs absolutely wanted to guarantee we didn't come back. Indians had a few chances where runners were stranded, and Chicago either guarantees a game 7, or we go home.

As far as Cleveland's pitching being worn out... We were/are also missing some of our best pitchers from this season.. both freakishly injured in September. Salazar popped in last night for a bit, but wasn't too impressive. Carrasco was a big loss for us, sadly.

That said, we didn't pitch any of our really good guys last night. Once it turned ugly, Francona smartly hedged the pitching on tonight. Kluber, Miller, Shaw, Allen... that's a tough lineup to get through, and most of those guys have had ample rest to perform. Plus it's game 7, so they'll be good enough.

*If* the Indians can get some runs on the board against Hendricks, who they did well hitting before... then that'll (hopefully) be enough for the pitching staff to shut the Cubs down. Damned if Rizzo et al don't keep hitting well, though. That guy is a monster.

I just want the warrior 3-1 memes to finally die along with the indians. I never really liked watching baseball but this world series has actually been pretty fun to watch. Gonna have to start watching some games next season

It was hilarious seeing the SF fan wearing the goat mask all game. I think the Cubs will do it tonight (I hope).

I just wish the game was in Chicago so I can feel the nervous tension of the entire stadium and seeing what new curse they will dream up.

I work with a guy from Cleveland, to torment him I just keep telling him "They're gonna pull 'a Warriors'...."

He pitched to the heart of the order and only threw 20 pitches.

That is exactly when you bring in your best reliever in a must win game, no matter the score.

Tonight is the money game... sweet.

For the most part I ignore baseball but was fun to see the Cubs rallying from 2 games behind, and the grand slam yesterday. Looking forward to this final game. Indians seem to be a mild favorite.

Lebron is in attendance...maybe he'll make some tombstones of Bauer and Napoli at his next Halloween party.

Holy.shit. this is a game

Why is Lebron cheering...doesn't he normally wear a Yankee hat?

Tied and raining in the 9th lol
