Hi - I work at Bay Area Yamaha as a tech and I would like to convey a message from my General Manager regarding the radio fiasco of this morning (1/12/06)

"I would first like to take a moment to thank all of you for brining this to my attention. Obviously as an advertiser, I have no control over the creative content of a show. But, as an advertiser, I do have the ability, through our advertising dollars, to make sure that radio station listens to us. I would like all of you to rest assure that this matter is being dealt with in a rapid and serious manner. I have already had numerous conversations with both the general manager and the creative director for LIVE 105. If all of you aren't too sickened by what you've heard this morning, please tune into the morning show tomorrow to hear an on air apology from the DJs and LIVE 105. Obviously the DJs who began this controversy failed to understand the gravity of the suggestions they were making. Thank you again. If you have any further comments, please email them to danlebson@otdcyclesports.com" Dan Lebson, General Manager of Bay Area Yamaha.

You should introduce yourself to the newbie section....

Dan, very standup of you.

Anybody who thinks you're responsible is just being silly. What you are doing is all that can be expected.

Sweet, I hope someone records the apology, since you never know if they'll try and keep it low-down at 6am or do the full broadcast at 8. /shrug

Thanks Dan (& staff), as an advertiser your word speaks volumes!

I just hope the DJs' apology is brimming with sincerity; not dripping with sarcasm!
