Bay Area or not, that was a cold ride in. At least 10 degrees colder than it normally is in the mornings.

I didn't notice until I started riding (especially crossing the bridge), but thankfully for whatever reason I switched to the heavier gloves today.

That is all.

yeah, like yesterday, but must be a temp inversion because top of mt ham was 51f this morning when it was 43 at the house.

I rode in yesterday too (with summer weight gloves) and it wasn't that bad, but my hands were cold. Today seemed worse...

I had frost on my saddle and I live in SF. It was by far one of the coldest days this year.

I didn't notice it. I saw frost yesterday in Hayward, but not today.

Yup..........and I'm starting to take it personally.:mad

Damn white stuff from the top of 92 all the way into San Jose. Winter gloves and liners not cutting it anymore. May have to pick up some electric gloves. Damn it.

It was just like any other day for me, definitely not the coldest. Two or three weeks ago it was 29 degrees when I left my house at 7.

My neck was cold this morning, wished I'd put on my turtle fleece thingy. My hands were fine, though, just wearing Held Steves.

Thermometer on my bike showed 45 on the Bay Bridge. I remember seeing 46 a couple days ago and my neck wasn't cold at all. I'd even been thinking of taking the liner out of my jacket.

Haha, OK I was away for the holidays so I may have missed a few cold ones. My thermometer was showing 40 on the BB. That felt the coldest to me so far this year. I only check when I'm feeling it so for whatever reason today got to me.

Not needing the heated gear yet but I was just saying I felt cold. Picked up a balaclava this year and haven't worn it yet but maybe its time to break it out.

Wasn't trying to start a pissing contest :laughing

46 ain't the problem. Been reading below 40 on the peninsula lately and that's when I have to talk myself into riding in the morning. Frost so I guess below 32 the last few days. The ride home usually makes it worth the 1 hr of numb hands and feet in the morning.

It was 35-36 from my San Jose to San Bruno commute. I can take the cold, but after 40 minutes my hands were pretty numb. It's kinda scary when your hands are so cold that they start feeling warm, like hey...somethings not right. Do ppl feel warm right before they die of hypothermia?

I put on the heated vest and had to unplug it just before the "S" curve. I was starting to sweat. But yeah is was the coldest morning this year. I have been wanting it to rain so it would warm up!

One of the first signs of hypothermia is when people STOP shivering.

I was going to take a spin up the coast yesterday, just to charge up the battery. I walked outside and thought better of it.

I've been riding from LG to the Vale all week. This morning was the coldest yet. It's still worth it. No rain. Awesome!!!

BTW - does anyone else end up with tears running down their cheeks from the chill coming in through their visor? At stops I must look like I'm crying tears of joy! Maybe I am! :)
