OK, that was COLD this morning...

Yep, still 39º in the Nut...it was a freezing 5 mile ride to the dealer...bless your heart if you rode over a bridge today.

Felt warmer to me this morning. :dunno

I was warmer too. Last night I bungeed a towel to my seat and it was nice and dry (and not frozen) when I left the house.

I'm still searching for a seat cover :wtf

Holy crap it was cold this morning. I took my bike into Livermore to get it fixed. Couldn't feel my right hand for some time. Brrrrr. Saw some poor girl on the back of a bike in sweats and a very thin long sleeve shirt. I thought I was cold until I saw her.

there was frost on my MC cover at 7:45 in the morning yesterday. brrrrr!

Driving to Pleasanton this morning 7:45am was cold. My little snowflake Warning light came on. Haven t seen that in a while.

My fancy alarm clock told me it was 38 today before I left. Although I hitched a ride in today as I need to get my car out of the work garage. Its been there for three weeks.

27 my entire ride in. I had to watch out for puddles that could've been icy. Heated grips saved my fingertips.

lotta black ice and frost on the road this morning...even driveway was slippery from ice...saw a lot of cars on 80 still covered in frost...

Volvo...comes on when the temp comes close to freezing 32 degrees, reminds you to slow the pack down icy roads/black ice like the road conditions for this mornings commute.

I have that too, but I thought it was called the "Happy to have a Subaru" light.

17 F this morning. New neoprene gloves under my Helds didn't work worth a damn. It was like the grip heaters weren't even working. Fortunately I had a long red light and held my throttle fingers on my muffler. I need to pick a cut-off temperature where I say no mas and drive the truck instead. Everything is fine except the fingers. Well that, and my breath fogs up the face shield then freezes. That's not cool.

I wear my normal gloves so the grip heat can penetrate. My winter gloves are insulated and not as much heat reaches my hands. Also put my vest as close to my skin as possible. Usually outside my shirt and then two more layers on top of that and my jacket.

peeps don't seem to recall this happens every 11 years or so...

I was talking to a coworker about this. We have cold days like this every year. Just not so many consecutively.

Yep, it is like SF and the above 90 days (or nights where a t shirt outside is fine). You get a few here and there but rarely a long stretch acting like a real season. This is seeming like a real winter (still not really THAT bad though).

My ST said 36 most of the way in to Sunnyvale. I had Gerbing electric jacket and electric gloves on high. I was toasty!

Many don't notice, but every 11 years the sun goes through another "cycle" of high activity, & low activity. During those highs & lows we have more consecutive years or cool/wet wet weather, or vice-versa. Dependent on what the sun is doing & Earth's orbit which varies a bit also.

Some years we may only have 1 or 2 freezing nights in the whole year, some years 15-20. These extremes tend to coincide with the extremes of the sun cycle. Right now we are coming out of a low-cycle of sun activity, headed for a high in 3-4 years...it will be more warm/hot then...
