VW "Clean" Diesel not really clean

Honesty I don't want money I just want my car to work the same and get the same mileage and vw to cover any failure related to their fix after

Again though, at what point does any automotive manufacture have to guarantee the value of your vehicle after it's sold?

Dealers have no qualms in pushing re-sale values as a sales point, and they buy cars, so there are tons of jurisprudence establishing cars are durable goods with an expectation of value.

When they lie about what they are selling you.

Unless "they" knew about it, especially those who were actually involved in the sale, "they" didn't lie about it at all.

Wonderful. That doesn't answer my question, though.

VW knew about it, so they are responsible. No one is saying the local dealers sales staff is responsible for this. Do you really think a sales persons ignorance excuses a company from fraud?

If I sell you something fraudulently you can sue me for your losses. Imagine someone selling fake gold jewelry as pure gold. There is no guarantee of value, but the seller would still owe the buyer money because of the fraud.

We actually need to sell/trade in our 2013 TDI for something bigger and AWD.

NO dealer is taking them on trades, not even VW, Mannenheim or whatever isn't taking them.

KBB dropped the price tremendously just because of the scandal. THAT is VW corporate's fault, not the car's.

That sucks. Sorry about that, mate.

...and STILL nothing has been done about the thousands upon thousands of modified dodge, ford, and chevy diesel trucks spewing massive amounts of smoke into the air....

Just sayin... I mean this country didn't invent hypocrisy but we sure are good at it. :dunno

don't except the loyalty give back. It's going to fuck you over in the future when you try to sue them. The way they did their wording in the conditions it could affect you for the recall .

Not true from everything I have read on it. They are beating the issue to death here http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=448053 and consensus is there is no legal implication of accepting the cards.

You may be right, but why would anyone trust VW again? I wouldn't accept that card for fear of loosing my rights if I did. I sure as hell wouldn't trust VWs word, nor would I bother to waste my time reading a bunch of legal bullshit just to see if I might be getting screwed by accepting their "gift." Fuck that give me what you said you sold me or shove off.

VW buys the cars back
Forced into bankruptcy protection
Re-tool and hope public regains trust
Cant recover? Game over VW.
