Yea, need to book my room, no more not-so-stealthy sleeping under the decomposing roach motel with Aaron this year.

I will join you on the top of the hill (unless there are lots of thunderheads in the area - if that happens I'll book the spot by the vault toilet downslope).

This thread is one of the reasons I bought a CRF230...then got it plated.

I have a feeling 2017 and 18 will see more miles on it than any of the other bikes.

and near Lyons Reservoir close to the Long Barn Lodge,
on the north side of Hwy 108 before the first turn-off
for Long Barn heading east, if the Lodge is now full ...

... lots of plated-dirt-bike single-track and general
knowledge of the area in the people who attend ...
we're planning on riding
street bikes just for the pool and live music
on Saturday ... :party

Yes, and my shoulder too! At least part of it.

I'm not a big planner so I don't know :p

I'd like to get out somewhere this weekend if there are any spots where there won't be a huge crowd due to the holiday.

Looks like Bruno is headed up the coast today but I can't get away till the weekend.

I do have a motel reservation for the
BARF Weaverville Rally, 8/4 - 8/7, but only
for Fri/Sat ...

... would like to show up at the StonyBARF in Sept
and BARF Baja in 2018 ...

... I kind of like organized dual-sport rides and rallies because they
force me to make a commitment ... :party
 
Nice! I'm going to put this on my to-do list for next year. I've been too focused on trials and need to keep my dual sport radar on too. Glad it was a fun weekend! Alex what happened on that hill climb? That looked like it hurt!

I gave up when my wheel hit the steep part, was too tired to get up over the front wheel. I had a full complement of gear on so it didn't hurt that much. I know you are supposed to turn to the right but I basically stalled on the steepest part and didn't have time to change course.
 
Been there done that! :laughing. Glad it didn't hurt too much!
 
Oh that was an experience. I've got the itch bad to do another one of those trips again.
