$50 GoPro knockoff on woot!

Max 8MP photo resolution (lower available). Continuous mode shoots every 2, 5, 10, 15, 30 or 60 seconds.

Try an old Sony HDR-AS10/15/30, they can be had inexpensively used and the quality is much better than a $50 camera.

The HDR-AS30V also has GPS should it posses you to want to post your MPH, distance traveled and things like that in your video. I got one for $130 used, bought a mount, and know that its going to be good quality in day or night use. I commute about 850 miles a week on my bike so, its a must.

got mine today. very pleased. might be the best $50 you can spend nowadays

hey rowan, let me know how this thing works out for you! i just watched the youtube link above your post and it looked and sounded really good. just knda wondering what that crackling sound in the vid was though. maybe similar to the gopro i had and you had to put some painters tape between the mount and the case plate?

They work with some of my gopro mounting hardware! Bonus...

Did some testing today on the nabi..

Video and pictures look comparable to the gopro.

One thing to note about the waterproof case. - it only fits the camera with the LCD backpack on it. I think the LCD is going to drain the battery so I removed it on one of mine and stuffed a piece of foam inside. Worked great. Remote still works without the LCD backpack.

I don't like that you have to remove the camera from the waterproof case to turn it on. I had to pull over and to turn it on since I forgot to before I left for work.

Is there a delay when you take a photo? Can you hold down the shutter and it just snap away a few pix?

There is a slight delay.
About a 1/2 sec when pushing the button on the camera.
About a second when using the remote.

When I held the button down on the camera it shut the LCD display off after a few seconds. Holding it down again for a few seconds and the LCD turned back on. I don't think it took any pictures. When I held the button on the remote it didn't do anything.

Slow at work.. I have mine on my desk..

I could not find the "other sellers" link you are talking about.

That deal is already gone. It was there yesterday. You gots to act fast on these deals..

also gotta read the fine print. when that amazon deal was still good I sent it to my friend and it eventually directed him to a seller called "1sale.com".

regarding their shipping policy "Usually ships within 1 to 2 months."

Got my nabi Square HD from a recent Woot! sale. So far, not a bad camera and the video quality is pretty good.

My one complaint so far is that there's no option to flip the recording mode (upside down, vertical, etc). With the supplied mounts, it sits vertically off the side of my helmet so I have to rotate the videos on playback. Not a big deal for me and for $50, I really can't complain about the lack of this "feature".

I put mine on the GoPro helmet mount apparatus and it works great.
do a search for Gopro side mount.

Thanks for the tip Cabrito. I'll pick up some GoPro mounts and see what I can rig up.
