I'm at work, obviously not working as I read the entire story. I agree with Rob - sex before friends, co-workers, etc.

I also think the fact that her ex's best friend proposed to her is a LOT weird. Sorry, guys don't usually propose (especially in such a public fashion) unless they have reason to believe the girl will accept.

With the whole teasing and retreating thing - if I were you I would've just brought up the topic outright (but I am pretty brash at times). I would've said something along the lines of, "you seem attracted to me but it feels like you aren't ready to take it to the next level? I am ok with that, just want to be sure we're on the same page." Maybe then she would've said, "Coming out of my ltr makes me hesitate to move fast blah blah blah" and then possibly this whole you moved too fast for me train could've been avoided. But I don't know you in real life and some of the other comments on this thread make it sound like you have the intense personality that will move fast/invest fast regardless. So who knows if that would've worked.

I don't think you should reach out for a few reasons:
1) something is off about her story about the guy who proposed - just because you felt like she was being honest doesn't mean she was
2) she dumped you hard and cold - which is indicative of how she would be should anything take a wrong turn if you two were in a real relationship, and who wants that?
3) she lives with her gamer brother :laughing

Meh, sorta disagree.

I took my girlfriend to my work's holiday party and that was where I "sealed the deal" so to speak to start the relationship. No, no hanky panky on the front desk but it definitely led to where we are today.

Guess it depends on the woman.

Now I'm quite a bit removed from the game, but I've been under the impression that tinder is by far the one most used for casual/hook up/DTF/whatever the kids call it today over all the other ones.
