Abcde?

The woman who cut my hair in college named her son Markeess. After her Mercury Markeess. I shit you not.

And I have an old friend named Mark Mercury, I kid you not. His title was "Defender of Small Animals"

I hope after the Always Sunny character

Unfortunately not. This is before the show.

No, if you read the article this employee has done similar on multiple other occasions. Disclosing customers personal info on your social media site isn't cool. Doing it multiple times should result in termination.

Agreed.

Yeah but, did you go to school with anyone who's parents took their native language and bastardized it into an unpronounceable nonsense "word?" That is where the backlash to "abcde" comes from IMHO.
No, they left them in the native unpronounceable versions: Beata, Katarzyna, Boleslaw, Guiseppe, Sean, Seamus, et cetera. As kids who were not yet imprinted as to what was right or wrong with names we just learned how to say them.

As an adult I was never taken aback, amused, or confused by names. I certainly never found one to be "nonsense." :wtf

No one is complaining about other-language names (much. In this thread).

These are OK. Not even the worst ones. Beata is completely pronouncable by any Teutonic-Anglo-speaking person. On top of all, all of your examples are in Latin-native alphabets. There are worse names, from other languages.

But nevermind that.
I think the thread was about who would name her daughter Abcdy. I mean Abcde. WTF?

But.. I agree, a commercial attendant is not exactly being nice when making fun of that.

that's actually misspelled by you (or, you misspelled only the car's name but not the guy's). The car is AFAIK "Marquis" and that's a valid english word, and probably .. a valid name, just as someone named 'Prince'...

Aren't those all legit names in their country of origin? None of that bothers me either. I think you are missing my point. Either that or you are saying you wouldn't bat an eye at me changing my name to :

TytlcrsprmhngdngMcbgbls

that is pronounced:TitlickersupremehungdongMcbigballs for all you unenlightened meanies out there #victim

What's a "legit" name? And some were born in the U.S.

Whatever you want to call yourself is fine by me. Why should anyone have a say in what you change your name to?

In QUebec the government can over rule the parents.

A kid wasn't allowed to be named Tomás but they made them change it to Tomas.

Because others whould have to call you by it? You know full well that a legit name is in this context. It is a name that most people in a socety would recognize as a name. At this point you are just being contrarian.

In that case I'm glad I'm not part of your personal socety.

Is it a matter of disagreeing where the line should be drawn, or is it more binary in that you either should or shouldn't be able to name your kid whatever you want? Like you should be able to name your kid "This Kid Sucks", or "Nazi Lyfe 4Eva"..?
