Great stuff Eric!
I finally cajoled some friends to go out on an Adventure Bike ride. My first real dirt on the 990 and it was dreamy.
The plan had been to slab up 80 to Hwy 20 and ride out to Bowman Lake or further and camp. Then loop around to Henness Pass road and back to 49..
The dirt section started with the washed out bridge.

The roads were super fun on the 990 and the GS800 but not so much on the GSA

The Bowman Lake is beautiful

View from my cot

We got water from a creek that feeds the lake and filtered it.

I told these guys that it was all smooth and easy with a few rock sections, but it was actually the other way around. It was pretty much all rock with a few flat smooth sections.

The 990 didn’t flinch… I felt like I was riding my XR..

I think I might have been cheating with the knobbies.
After picking up the GS five or six times we decided to pass on the Hennes pass section because Leo had told be it was easy but he got sick of the rocks. We just went out to 89 and took 49 back to Auburn.. 49 is fun on any bike..

Thanks for posting them up! I wouldn't mind doing the Bungee Brent ride someday. I've been down to Relief Reservoir and was blown away at how warm the water was. I'd love to get out there again someday, too.
