Breaking Bad, Cont'd. (SPOILERS!!!)

I love that Hank is hot on the trail of Gus...he's a smart dude. Should make for some intense episodes coming up!

Easy to forget that Walt won't work without Jessie...remember the forklift scene? Walt has been incessant from the beginning that they come as a pair. As was said, maintaining Jessie in order to maintain Walt.
But if Jesse dies from some totally unrelated random shit he can't pin on Gus? Then what is he gonna do?

That was a pretty good ending to that episode!!! Hank is hot on Gus's trail.

It looks like Jessie is still faithful to Walt.

I think Gus is a 'short-timer'. Everyone is after him.

Walt wants to keep Jesse close cause he can implicate him on quite a number of things if he ever gets pinched. And without Walt's guidance, Jesse would have been pinched a long time ago for being a careless dumbass.

Oh and fuck Skyler. I hope she dies a horrible death. :twofinger

I knew the car wash was a poor laundering operation from the start, I don't why Skyler was so fixated on it. Isn't she the accounting brains of the operation? She did all the math before making an offer to Mr. Eyebrows.

Gus is doomed. The cartel is going to kill him (or he is going to run) before Hank catches him, so the writers can get Walt out of that situation. Then Walt can set up his own operation and be the big man until the cartel sends him a message.

They made Walt stupid reckless again, doing donuts in the car is one thing but torching it and staying there is stupid. He always had his moments but I disagree that Walt is so stupidly self-destructive and I think the writers are screwing up.

Great acting by Aaron Paul. Jesse is the problem dog of many BARFers. :)

:)

But remember during the money scene where Skyler said that she had no idea Walt was making that kind of money? She probably thought he was only making a few hundred thousand a year. A lot easier to launder. She had no idea it was millions.

the only person that can take gus' place is walt (the writers won't make some random mexican drug lord the new PoloLoco cartel head because it makes for a lousy plot; it's infinitely more interesting to make walt the head).

so if gus is dead, that means, in my opinion, walt is the new drug lord.

that sets up an entirely fresh new dynamic between the characters. hank the DEA agent, chasing his brother-in-law, walt the drug lord - "fugitive" style. the wives(skyler and marie), who are sisters, and still best friends, get caught in the middle as the husbands play cat and mouse. the show has a lot of possibilities.

...and remember, the entire story has to wrap up in about 15 more episodes. Next season will be the last. We're not in the end run yet, but the pieces are being put quite deliberately in place.

mike23w, of course, that's what I'm saying. So now it's going to be Walt v. Cartel and Walt v. Hank/DEA. Which makes me think Walt has leverage against Hank now because he's been paying him off in a way that won't look good to the DEA. If Hank confronts Walt, he has that leverage.

Hey I wonder how much Jesse is getting paid. :)

Is it good or bad that when I saw the shot from the toaster oven I immediately knew those were castor beans and he was making ricin?

I loved that bit of Gustavo back story.

Was the villa boss, Don Elado the one Gus set up to be raided by the federales?

What do you think Gus' connections are in Chile that kept him from being killed?

seriously? where'd you hear this?

Oops, pretty slow to respond. I read that in a New York Times Magazine interview with the creator.

From Wikipedia:
On August 14, 2011, AMC announced that Breaking Bad had been renewed for a fifth and final season consisting of 16 episodes that may be split over two seasons.
