I don't see much upside near term but they're pretty well diversified with Booking.com, priceline.com, KAYAK, agoda.com, rentalcars.com, and OpenTable. Talk about false competition in the market :laughing

personally I don't know their business model too well and how AirBNB will effect them long term. I know the hotel industry has been hurt some by these types of options.

I can't comment on Priceline's stock trajectory since I haven't done enough research on it, but I will say that they are a well positioned company that knows how to execute.

Verisign or Palo Alto Networks, which would you buy? Tied to your industry?
I owned VRSN once and sold way too soon but a manager with a good track record says buy PANW

Well why the hell not... I've got some cash lying around; seems pretty low and if nothing else their brand image is worth something

Out of curiosity, where do yall go for your day to day general financial info? Like general articles and such?

Use a bunch of different websites. I really like just looking on yahoo finance to see the latest news. I usually also go to seekingalpha to read people's articles. You'll usually see a lot of arguing and it shows you the general consensus on different stocks.

Does anyone here flip ipos?

Fidelity.com
You might think about calling them and setting up a Roth IRA, it's free, and dollar cost averaging into SPY. That's pretty much SOP.

I went for a little HACK as that is a telco sector stock, supposed to be strong in late cycle, then read today that the US is still mid-cycle, unlike the rest of the world, and that equity prices usually peak relatively two years after the cycle trend has been established, so I'll either double down for a small move up and bail for the moment, or hold what I've got, which means paying .75% managing fee with no offseting dividend. It may get hot, and spike, and if so, I'll sell, and not have to pay taxes on the capital gain till I retire, cause it's in a Roth.
decisions, decisions.:ride

Shockingly it's really good. My "broker" send out a report regularly as well. SA is good well.

My trading tool also provides up to the minute pressers and various other nice bits.

Financial Times is good, too. All sorts of back stories.
