Cars that make your jaw drop.

I gave up trying to build a class car because, every time you build a car for what you want to race in, they change the rules. Now I just build what I want and if it fits, it fits.

That's why you don't build class cars.... You buy somebody else's. For real racing, I feel is better to build a driver and a team, and the car is secondary. A good driver and team can put a poor car on the podium a heck of a lot more times than a crap crew/driver can with a great car. :thumbup

That good team also has the ability to raise that poor car to a good level, while the bad team only knows how to bring the great car down.

I hear you though. I've only ever built 'open class' cars for myself. "Top time of the day " has been the only thing I've chased for a long time. (Even my dream pony car... Overall winner is the only dream)

You are way overthinking this. To me it is a work of metal fabrication porn.
Did you look at the gallery and process instead of just the racecar looking end product?

bonertown details

gawd that piece looks severely overbuilt, especially considering what theyve got the other end of the shock bolted to.

Not sure if this qualifies as a car ... but I sure want one.

I just spent a few hours fapping at Roadster Shop builds.

you may not like the style, but the craftsmanship and detail is truly jaw dropping looking through the detailed build pics.

Pretty 'stack-o-dimes welding' is the new Alacantra of the deep pockets fabrication crowd.

It also seems to be a lot of woodworking and computer junk needed to make a modern race car, hot rod, vanity car performance car.

Those were such a deal about 10 years ago. They've tripled since.

A friend thinks his $15k 12 years ago car will be his first $100k car in 3-4 years.

AB - you know how I feel about shooting brakes.

Ferrari Breadvan wasn't the only Italian oddball of the era...

During LeMans in '64, the car reached a speed of 196 mph down the Mulssane Straight which was 12mph faster than everything else. But it is Italian....

That is one sweet Volvo I would have room for in the Garage:drool.

Loud pipes save lives?

This was very very well done, a very high end build.

Yes those are TRD valve covers and an Edelbrock intake.
