As a backroad junkie, this car was tailor made for me!

I know what you mean, which is why I also have an s2000 I built up with suspension mods. It's the perfect car for twisty driving in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Thanks Berto! I was never really into them until a few years ago when I bought one on a whim and drove it full tilt in the twisties. The pure driving experience in the twisties blew me away. It just clicked. At the time, I had a new M3 and the Type R and neither are in the stable now. I'm on my 3rd S2k because i've been really picky and only wanted single owner, low mileage samples. Funny anecdote, seems pretty much every single s2k owner i've met also rode motorcycles.
 
I have always thought the cross over between sport bike riders and lovers of small, sporty, mildly powered cars was no accident.

In a case of never meet your heroes…this the situation for a Countach. Not even enough room get my foot around the clutch to rest. And I’ve only got size 13 (sometimes 14) shoes.
That’s what I hate most about Japanese cars, they’re built for short people, with the steering wheel to pedal distance way too short.
Only car I ever owned that had proper leg room and still be close to the wheel was a firebird. Hated everything else about that car though. Can’t win.

I love my Honda Ridgeline (gen 1) because of the seating position (upright, like a chair), tons of leg/foot room and head room, and easy entry (i can get in/out without bending my neck down).
I was going to buy a new ridgeline (gen 2), but it's a totally different animal. I could barely drive it, so I got another used gen 1.
I've never been able to drive Toyota trucks/suv's... not enough leg room and the seat is too low to the floor.
The only car I've ever driven where the driver's seat went too far back, and I had to move it forward a notch or two, was my wife's VW beetle. :laughing

Are you going to track that Porshce?

Its excellence cannot be explored on the street unlike the S2k as you know.

My nephew is getting my analog 1994 Miata R when I can't drive anymore and prefers the raw feeling, oddly enough, over his "I'll never sell it" S2k.

I found that car a few years back in the South Bay, low miles, one owner, parked in his parent's garage for years as he lived overseas.

I really liked the short drive I had in it when considering it for him.

Love the Miata I bought new, barely fit at a hair under 6' 1" but I don't care.

Consider a 5 or 6 point Stan...submarining is a real thing.
 
And a HANS device if you haven't got one already. Using 2 shoulder belts without one is high risk. I cringe when I see people wearing 2 shoulder belts on the street.

I may consider a 5pt harness, but this car is still a street car. I don't use the harness for the street, but rather just the regular belt. Luckily the carbon buckets have a cut out for the 5pt harness.

I will be tracking this car and my M2 Competition.

I think I didn’t word my post as clearly as I could have. Street or track, never use 2 shoulder harnesses without a HANS device. Should you crash while doing so, it could be deadly.

Point understood, but let's be honest here: people have used four point and five point harnesses, meaning two shoulder harnesses for many, many years, and they saved far more lives than they ended.
