Any room still in the contest? Any guidelines to subject material? I need to get off my ass and shoot.
Plenty of room. I just checked, the BARF V Bulletin software allows up to 18 choiced in a poll. Here are the confirmed participants so far:
1. Wannabe
2. TylerW
3. jbleezyj
4. Joebar4000
5. cycle61
6. VeloceMoto
7. BrassPremier
8. Storm Shadow
Speak up if I missed you. Or, if you want to join up last-minute, let me know before Feb 28th.
No limits on subject matter. The only limitation is don't make me put NSFW in the title. As I mentioned before, I'm trying my best to put as few limitations on the subject matter as possible. Plus, I don't want to put up any ideas to skew what people end up doing. I want to be surprised by what people come up with.
And, the whole idea is to give people an idea of what it would be like to work on a magazine piece. You're a photographer, and you are told what the article is about. Now, go out and bring back a picture that best shows your idea of the theme of the article.
Here's a repeat summary of the rules:
1. Pictures must be submitted in 800x600 (or 600x800) pixels size.
2. No nudity or anything that would make me put an NSFW label on the thread.
3. Pictures must be submitted to me no later than midnight (Pacific Time) on February 28th. (I'll PM my e-mail address to the participants once I finalize the list.)
4. BARF voters will judge which picture best describes the chosen word. (Independent of picture quality.)
5. Pics must be taken after contest start. (No old files.)
6. Winner gets to choose theme of the next round. (If there is one.)
